promethazine blunts

basically i have been smoking weed a few times a day for the past few years. i would consider myself to be a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to weed. one thing that is huge in my town is promo blunts. basically just rolling an el then dipping it in some promethazine syrup and roasting it. i do this with most all of my blunts because my bro as coughing fits all throughout the year, so theres bottoles of the shit all over my house. when i do it sometimes i feel like im not getting anything out of it, and sometimes i feel a floaty opiate like high that is kin of a magnified version of drinking it. so my question is does smoking prometh. work or am i just getting placebo? if it works, what color syrup works best, purple red or yellow and what is the best way to apply the prometh?

Promethazine is an antihistamine, not an opioid. Even if dipping a blunt in it and smoking it were efficient and healthy (both of which probably aren't true), it would still be pointless; it doesn't get you high.

haha classic picture man, and ok thanks guys i was just curious cuz its like a fucking epidemic in my area right now and iv had mixed results with using it. probably just feeling the effects of indica vs sativa strains. but thanks for the input
 
Are you sure it's not codeine syrup with promethazine in it? That would be the standard prescription for coughing. I don't see how an entire dose of codeine syrup could fit on a blunt, but even if it could, it's a bad idea to smoke syrup. You might be right about the indica vs sativa being the difference you felt.

Nah, people smoke pcp in liquid solution on pot all the time. Also liquid won't evaporate that quickly (between the time it takes to put liquid on weed and smoke the weed). Liquid drugs can be smoked on top of weed, not all of them should be though.

Ahh okay, good to know actually. I was told at a young age that you couldn't do that and blah blah lol.
 
Dude that is some pretty ridiculous shit right there, I mean promethazine isn't even recreational on its own and dipping blunts in cough syrup is just plain dumb. I am not saying that to rag on you but there really is no other way to describe it.

If you were really a connoisseur of weed you wouldn't be killing the enjoyment by doing something so stupid. If you really like promethazine then drink some half an hour before you blaze, otherwise leave it to your brother for his colds or find some opiates to go with it.
 
Phenergan is nifty to have around the house incase I feel like yacking or whatnot.. but other than that it's fucking pointless.. wtf is up with people.
 
If it's really just straight Promethazine syrup then it would be completely pointless to put in a blunt unless your intention is to get drowsy. But if it's Promethazine/Codeine then it is worth it, just before you add the weed to the blunt and roll it up, rub some of the syrup on the inside of the swisher and the weed will stick to it when you roll it up. It's pretty fun.

How could you possibly fit a full dose of codeine syrup onto a blunt? Not to mention the fact that it's not worth the lung damage such a thing causes. You shouldn't smoke cough syrup, regardless of what's inside of it.
 
it is promethazine with codeine ive had several peeps tell me its popular on the streets and they said the red is the best cant remember if they smoked it or mixed it with alcohol and drank it...smoking would be intersting let me know how that works out
