promethazine and hydrocodone?

Today I took one 25 mg promethazine with 50 mg hydrocodone at 11am. My tolerance to hydros is very high. It didn't do much, I only felt sleepy. I'm wondering if its ok to take my normal nightly dose of hydros of 60-80 mg. Please advise.

How much hydro/acetaminophen are in your pills? Just as long as you don't go over the limit of 4,000mg of acetaminophen in a day you should be fine. Anything more could cause some problems.

They are 10/325 and I always do CWE. So you are saying thatvi cargo ahead safely with my normal nightly dose? Will the promethazine still have an effect on the opiate?

Promethazine has little to no recreational value, however it's a pretty solid anti-histamine. Which are HIGHLY recommended to take with opiates, to combat the nausea.

Which is why it's commonly found in prescription opiates such as codeine syrups. At pharmaceutical doses though, overdosing anti-histamines is never bright(anti-histamine poisoning for one).

Taking more than 50 mgs of promethazine within 24 hours may cause severe problems.
