Went to search for something on prolintane on here and came up with very little. Any experiences or data on this one? Thanks.

Yeah ive gone through quite a bit. Seems good for a moment but that moment is very short lived. The short upside is followed by a very long and nasty comedown.

Benzos are required at any significant dose.

how does it compare to a-pvp? is it also so morish like its cathinone counterpart? and what about potency, equal?

For me neither prolintane nor a-pvp where useful stimulants.
Prolintane is less morish certainly, but it is still shit.

i’ve heard great things about prolintane as a mood, lifting, and functional stimulant when taken orally at reasonable doses. can I ask if any of you snorted, smoked, vaped, or injected it? if so, that might be why you had a bad experience.
Prolintane was actually successfully used in the management of chronic fatigue syndrome and some people claim that it is a good replacement for caffeine due to much greater functionality and less side-effects. of course, these benefits only. apply when the stimulant is taken orally. and at reasonable doses.
Prolintane is one of the substance is high up on my list to try once I quit caffeine.

Prolintane is nothing to write home about. A short boost following by a harsh, depressing comedown. I have snorted it and taken it orally. I don't believe it vaped all that well when i tried but it was some time ago. It is fairly to quite moorish.

I once gave some to an ex girlfriend of mine, and she seemed quite wound up from it (snorted). I went to the bathroom and when I came back she had he laptop out with some porn on it and was using a little vibrator. I thought oh shit, seemed to impact her quite strongly (she was fairly drug naive). Personally I found it caused quite a bit of anxiety so it was only really tolerable at higher doses with a benzo. Wasn't a huge fan due to the depressing comedown and anxiogenic effects, while the high itself wasn't particularly great either.

I also gave some to a coworker (who is a university tenured professor mind you) and the next day I attended an event with him and he seemed all paranoid. He said, "I was doing that stuff all last night and didn't sleep, do I look ok?" 🤣

But to a drug aficionado like me, the stuff is lackluster, too anxiogenic relative to its enjoyable effects.

Okay, very interesting experience. thanks for sharing. I am actually pretty drug naive, only ever using caffeine on a daily basis, and occasionally using nicotine. from the way you describe it and from reading about it, prolintane sounds like a stronger, considerably more dopaminergic alternative to the antidepressant bupropion, which is another drug i’ve long wanted to try as a caffeine alternative and motivational enhancer. Can you remember how much you took orally? I only ask because I’m already aware that ingesting prolintane by any other means than the oral route generally produce overwhelmingly negative effects. actually, prolintane, despite being rewarding and reinforcing, seems to produce a more functional and pleasant stimulation, but only when taken in low doses. Prolintane is a selective norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor with practically no effects on serotonin transporters. this might explain its greater propensity to cause agitation at higher doses. I guess it’s also pretty strong at the norepinephrine transporter which could further explain the anxiety. if I do come to try it, I would only do so once I have completely quit caffeine and related xanthene stimulants for at least a month and will strictly avoid them during and after prolintane. I would start with about 20 mg lab tested prolintane taken orally and no more that day for my first time. I will then increase the dosage as needed on separate days until I find my SweetSpot. depending on my response to it, especially in regards to treating my procrastination/lack of focus, I will use it on an as needed basis. however, if I get an ADHD diagnosis, which I strongly suspect I am suffering from, I may choose to use prolintane as my stimulant of choice instead of methylphenidate or dextroamphetamine.
On a sidenote, I want to came across a YouTube video, where the guy presenting claimed to really enjoy prolintane pills as his favourite nootropic. most of his videos were on different nootropics, but to call prolintane a nootropic is disturbing and dangerously misleading in my opinion.

I wonder why there are literally no Prolintane analogues on the RC market? I would have thought they would be the first alternative after the ketone pyros where banned?

Anyone have papers or links showing data about possible analogues?

There are many prolintane analogs sold on the RC market. In fact, prolintane is the grandfather of all of the many pyrrolidine-containing substituted cathinones (a-PVP, MDPV, and the now more commonly available a-PHiP, etc.). These are all in essence beta-keto prolintane analogs.

Having tried many of these, as well as prolintane itself, many of these beta-ketone analogs are an improvement on prolintane, which has a brief high of mediocre quality, followed by an unexpectedly harsh comedown marked with significant anxiety. Drugs like a-PVP, which is the closest prolintane analog (a-PVP is simply beta-keto prolintane) are massive improvement on prolintane. A few however are even worse than prolintane in terms of edgy high followed by a nasty comedown, such as 3F-PHP -- which is basically an anxiety attack in powder form.

All of the good prolintane analogs, such as MDPV, a-PVP, a-PHP etc (which in turn are also pyrovalerone analogs) have been long banned. The prolintane analogs available now are notably less euphoric and enjoyable than the ones available a decade ago. However interestingly, the currently available analogs, like a-PHiP and a-PCYP, have unusually mild comedowns for drugs in this class (which is the one upside). But they don't have nearly the same euphoric high to them. In fact, as much as I was not a fan of prolintane itself, I would probably take prolintane over a-PHiP.

But again, people who were not experienced drug users seemed to be impressed by the power of prolintane. But the problem for me was that I actually tried prolintane after having tried drugs like a-PVP and MDPV (both of which i used extensively) so from that vantage point I felt like prolintane absolutely sucked in comparison. The comedown from prolintane just feels way too heavy/intense compared to the brief high it gives. But other, much less experienced individuals that I showed prolintane to were like, "holy shit".

Thanks for sharing your experience. I definitely understand why you didn’t enjoy prolintane itself given the other drugs you’ve tried before. I think people who tend to really like it are those who use it in pill form at reasonable/small doses. when used in this way, I’ve heard a can provide a very mild but very rewarding, stimulant experience somewhat reminiscent of Adderall. i’ve never tried psychostimulants,, but this is exactly how I would want to try this drug.

But why haven't they released at least a few non-keto analogues, I mean they released so many strange and foreseeable bad compounds that Prolintane analogues really don't seem to be a big strech from most of the market.

I would also love to see more norbornane analogues, I regulary bought Camfetamine which became my favorite daytime stimulant, even though the effects are often very subtle and not even that euphoric or anything else special, but it's somehow a very peaceful compound that found a place in my heart, maybe from the sigma agonism? I would put my small finger in fire if there isn't a really great Norbornane compound, maybe even the holy grail of stim+opioid similar to how Tilidine goes.
