For me neither prolintane nor a-pvp where useful stimulants.how does it compare to a-pvp? is it also so morish like its cathinone counterpart? and what about potency, equal?
Prolintane is nothing to write home about. A short boost following by a harsh, depressing comedown. I have snorted it and taken it orally. I don't believe it vaped all that well when i tried but it was some time ago. It is fairly to quite moorish.
I once gave some to an ex girlfriend of mine, and she seemed quite wound up from it (snorted). I went to the bathroom and when I came back she had he laptop out with some porn on it and was using a little vibrator. I thought oh shit, seemed to impact her quite strongly (she was fairly drug naive). Personally I found it caused quite a bit of anxiety so it was only really tolerable at higher doses with a benzo. Wasn't a huge fan due to the depressing comedown and anxiogenic effects, while the high itself wasn't particularly great either.
I also gave some to a coworker (who is a university tenured professor mind you) and the next day I attended an event with him and he seemed all paranoid. He said, "I was doing that stuff all last night and didn't sleep, do I look ok?"
But to a drug aficionado like me, the stuff is lackluster, too anxiogenic relative to its enjoyable effects.
I wonder why there are literally no Prolintane analogues on the RC market? I would have thought they would be the first alternative after the ketone pyros where banned?
Anyone have papers or links showing data about possible analogues?
There are many prolintane analogs sold on the RC market. In fact, prolintane is the grandfather of all of the many pyrrolidine-containing substituted cathinones (a-PVP, MDPV, and the now more commonly available a-PHiP, etc.). These are all in essence beta-keto prolintane analogs.
Having tried many of these, as well as prolintane itself, many of these beta-ketone analogs are an improvement on prolintane, which has a brief high of mediocre quality, followed by an unexpectedly harsh comedown marked with significant anxiety. Drugs like a-PVP, which is the closest prolintane analog (a-PVP is simply beta-keto prolintane) are massive improvement on prolintane. A few however are even worse than prolintane in terms of edgy high followed by a nasty comedown, such as 3F-PHP -- which is basically an anxiety attack in powder form.
All of the good prolintane analogs, such as MDPV, a-PVP, a-PHP etc (which in turn are also pyrovalerone analogs) have been long banned. The prolintane analogs available now are notably less euphoric and enjoyable than the ones available a decade ago. However interestingly, the currently available analogs, like a-PHiP and a-PCYP, have unusually mild comedowns for drugs in this class (which is the one upside). But they don't have nearly the same euphoric high to them. In fact, as much as I was not a fan of prolintane itself, I would probably take prolintane over a-PHiP.
But again, people who were not experienced drug users seemed to be impressed by the power of prolintane. But the problem for me was that I actually tried prolintane after having tried drugs like a-PVP and MDPV (both of which i used extensively) so from that vantage point I felt like prolintane absolutely sucked in comparison. The comedown from prolintane just feels way too heavy/intense compared to the brief high it gives. But other, much less experienced individuals that I showed prolintane to were like, "holy shit".
