Had a quick search and couldn't find a thread about those little recovery wins we sometimes get.

I had a small but meaningful victory yesterday, been having a tough time the past few weeks, started drinking again and have been doing far too many drugs.

Yesterday though was the 1st time I didn't take anything in a good few weeks, and to make matters more impressive I was on the come down from MDMA so had a bit of anxiety to contend with, I had the day to myself so I could use whatever I liked, and a large stash of things that I could turn to.

small win, but still a win.

Woke up today and the Anxiety has gone, no hangover, and I'm already pondering not taking anything again today....

I went 6 days without any opioids in order to try and get over (or at least significantly lessen) the physical dependancy on Morphine. I genuinely have severe chronic pain, so I'll always need to take it, but I suffered the 6 days so that now I can try and only take it when I really need it, whereas for years now I've had to take it several times a day (to avoid withdrawal) even if I felt like I could tolerate the pain that day without it.
My tolerance also dropped significantly more than I would have expected for less than a week of abstinance from it. Like, I got the same effect from 30mg Morphine that I would normally get from 90mg.

Great win, well done!
Honestly, that’s not a small win at all. When things have been rough, even one day of choosing not to take anything can take a lot of strength. Waking up without the anxiety and hangover must have felt really good. Threads like this are a great reminder that progress often comes from those small steps. Hope today goes just as well for you.
thanks, it did feel very good.

baby steps

4 days since my last drink

and yesterday was the 1st day in I don't know how long that I didn't take any kind of drug at all, including weed (which I generally don't count).

more exercise, both walking and I've started dicking around with dumbbells

Wow, look at you popping off - don't let anything get in your way - endless new experiences and ideas will start to be uncovered

🙌

now 1 week without alcohol, starting to feel the benefit.

I've cut down on Soma, now taking it every 3 days, 2 time a week with diazapam.

no pregabalin for 2 weeks.

I've moved to taking 2CB once a week, and have had ketamine once a week, though on the downside I've started taking GLB + mephedrone again once a week for the past few weeks as well - would rather this be every fortnight

I'm trying to have 2 clean drug free days per week as well.

I'm smoking a lot more weed though - any quite enjoying it, though the dose is getting pretty high!

trying to shift my usage to things that at comparatively less harmful, just need to make sure that I don't do too much ket.

planning on introducing mushrooms at some point, will start with a micro dose, then looking at some DMT in the near future maybe

this seems to be becoming my personal rehab blog

anyway, 2 weeks since my last drink, starting to feel the benefit of it, much more energy.

went on a 2 hour walk yesterday, I'm sore today and need to chill out, so treating myself to a decent Soma session with some diazapam and weed.
