Last summer I took an involuntary month long break. I returned to smoking and noticed cartoonish visuals but thought nothing of them. Over the course of a few months I became very aware that I was hallucinating vividly. Sometimes I would close my eyes and see cosmic, cartoonish images, sometimes Hindi or Aztec art, but everything changing and evolving much like the Windows pipes screensaver. They are borderline impossible to describe. I know it isn't the bud I have - I've shared it with friends, some have done loads of psychedelics, and they don't see anything. I attribute it to the fact that I've always been able to make my forehead buzz... It doesn't physically vibrate in the sense that you could touch my forehead and feel it, but I get the sensation that there is a small metallic marble lodged in the area between my eyebrows and I can make it spread to my forehead. Supposedly this is the third eye chakra.. but I'm not sure if I believe in those. And I don't necessarily need to smoke cannabis to get such visuals, even days after I smoke if I sit/lie down in a dark room I can see them. Smoking just brings them out and immerses me in them. Also, the way they move is very similar to eye floaters.
