Prochlorperazine: an antipsychotic, antiemetic, piperazine-type phenothiazine
What's it used for (medically speaking): Psychotic disorders. Short-term treatment of generalized nonpsychotic anxiety (not drug of choice). Postoperative N&V, radiation sickness, vomiting due to toxins. Primary function: to stop vomiting and nausea.
Recreational value: little, if any. And the risks and side-effects make that pretty pointless. Good to take if you are feeling nauseated, though. It can cause weird sexual side effects in both men and women... cause extreme sensitivity to light... and other nasty by-products that would not be worth the crappy buzz that you may or may not achieve from taking this drug.
My advice: have your friend research it since s/he is the one prescribed it, but don't attempt to take it for kicks.
(and if you don't mind... what IS your friend prescribed this for.... dosage/frequency etc...??)
be well.

"To say of an addict who is in a continual state of euphoria that he is degrading himself is like saying of marble that it is spoilt by Michaelangelo, of canvas that it is stained by Raphael, of paper that it is soiled by Shakespeare, of silence that it is broken by Bach."
