Prochlorperazine, oxycodone, any contradictions?

I've been prescribed Prochlorperzine for nausea and dizziness caused by an ear infection. I noticed on the packet it said 'may increase the effects on alcohol', would that apply to opiates also? I don't want to use it to potentiate but I don't wanna find it does potentiate and end up ODing. Would it effect my oxy dosage in any way?

I think they mean because of its sedating antihistamine properties.

A lot of opiate users find antihistamines do increase the effect of opiates (I wouldn't know). But I don't think it puts you at risk of an OD.

Still, if you want to be safe, only take 3/4 of your normal dose.

Thanks BilZ0r, I just wanted to be certain. I also considered using it to kill the nausea from opiates but I wanted to be certain about what effects it would have on my dosage first.

Thankfully the antibiotics cleared the infection up quick smart so now I've got 20 of these babies left for whenever I get nauseas from anything :)

They worked fine for the nausea today, not even the slightest sign of uncomfort in my belly :)
