processing crack for iv use

hi, i followed the directions here (http://www.harmreduction.org/idu/chapter2.html#mainlining)[url]. i couldn't find any in ascoribc acid in powdered form (can you at all?) so i bought a bottle of pharmassure Vitamin C. on the back it lists the ingredients as Cellulose. the supplement facts list it the c as "Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 500 mg. 833%. i crushed about half of a pill as small as i could and mixed it in with a small slab of crack and about 1/2 cc of water. i mashed it for like 10 minutes and there was still a lot of particles floating around, which i thought might have been crack that hadn't disolved yet.
eventually i gave up and just used a filter and ived it. were the excess particles just the binder part of the pill? i am not sure if that is the correct term or not. either way i certainly did feel the effect of the crack since i am typing so much right now.
i have another iv related question, what can you do if you have some blood in the syringe but for some reason or another are not in the vein? harmreduction says to split the shot into two and put more water in it. does that mean i should empty the contents of the syringe into the clean spoon or whatever, add water, and filter again? will that prevent blood from clogging up the syringe when it is drawn in again? thanks!

Why would you even bother trying to shoot crack?
First of all, as you know, it's a freebase and you need to go through the trouble of converting it back to a hydrochloric salt.. why not just get coke?
Second of all, the reason dealers make crack is because they can use considerably less cocaine than they would if they were just going to sell it as powder. You can easily sell $3 worth of cocaine as a $10 rock.
Thirdly, think of how many impurities and nasty crap are in your crack. Filter or not, some of those impurities are going to make it in your veins.
Shooting crack is just a really stupid idea. An IV cocaine high last maybe 30 minutes at most anyways. It's not worth it.

No, do not empty a bloody syringe to reshoot it. Blood will immediately begin to clot with contact to oxygen, so you risk shooting little particles of solidified blood. Honestly, it's probably not a big deal, but I wouldn't do it. Simply just remove the needle from your arm, dip it in your bottled water and pull up some more water. This way the water won't be too murky to see if you're getting more blood in the syringe when you try again.
If you have an air bubble at the begging of the syringe towards the needle, you probably won't even have to pull the needle out. Play around and try to hit your vein again, you'll know when you do because there will be a big gush of blood pouring into the syringe. You're in.

1) Don't shoot crack. Don't argue with this advice/ Do not shoot crack, smoke it or sell it...
2) As for the blood in the rig issue - you were not very clear, is your problem that you get blood in the rig and you then cant see the blood when you pull back the plunger to check if yer in the vein? If so, then don't look into the fluid, if it's blood colored then simply mix it real good so the entire shot is nice and dark, now, stick it in and pull back - if you're not in the vein you will see an airbubble, once you hit the vein it will fill with blood.. this is also a "beginners method" - pull back so you have the negetive space (an air bubble) .. you can then fish around for the vein and you just wait for the void to fill with blood, you dont have to pull back on the plunger...

Blahblahblah pretty much summed the technique up best in his post, it's sound advice...
A quick note, I have seen people substitute lemon juice in place of vinegar (to convert from freebase to hcl), both are equally effective it seems, but one smells better.
Also, for me personally, there is a DISTINCT and noticable difference between IV of crack and IV of coke, but in the end I can't say I really prefer one or the other. Of course, I'm not that big a fan of coke in general.
Thus IV admin of crack, while it's still not worth the trouble in my opinion, it is NOT a totally useless endeavour as some have said, it's something to try, you might find a liking for it...
And to our esteemed friends who for some reason find shooting crack some uniqely demonic poison to avoid at all costs, you guys cannot be fucking serious?
I mean it's not as if all those goddamn opiates you advocate banging so much are fucking vitamins, are they?
Drugs are drugs, and people are going to do them if they want to no matter what. Irregardless of what some people on an online message board say or how possibly harmful they might be. Rather than just malign the poster and provide no real answers to his question, why not try practicing some harm reduction instead and help the guy out with some basic advice...

You should never inject any type of citric acid as it can cause really nasty infections from possible bacteria that can exist in it.. yes, you can shoot crack but it's not a good practice given what you must do to get that rock back to an injectable form - even if you got some fairly "clean" crack you still have to contend with shit that is NOT IDEAL TO PUT IN YOUR VEIN!
But Mr. Rape is correct - people will do whatever the fuck they want, so rock out with your cock out, bang your crack, use citric acid, hell, scrape the residue from your crack pipe and crack cans and add that to the mix!
