Misc Procaine powder to injectable form

Im leaving everything and doing a year long sailing trip with three friends, and while packing found a small stash of procaine powder. Id like to know the process of making it into injectable form, 1 or 2 % in case its needed on the trip, (dental, etc). One of the friends going is a medic, so he knows the basics of injection and safety measures, but I'm not sure how to make it injectable. I know that for a 1% forumula you take one gram of powder and mix it with 100ml of water or saline. I think that you then put it through several series of .22um sterilized microfilters. Does anyone with a chemistry or pharmacy background know if I'm missing a step? Is hcl or anything needed to buffer the ph? Thanks
