Opioids problems with Fentanyl patch

I just got prescribed the Fentanyl patch for my pain management, but I have a problem with overly perspiring... Is there any tips for helping it stick? I've tried medical tape and bandaids so far and they peel off over a short amount of time. I've had it on for less than 2 hours and it's already coming off. Is there a better method of using it or sticking it? I'm almost tempted to use duck tape!! (but that would hurt T_T)

Damn dude, that paper tape that doesn't hurt your skin works just fine for me, although I am not one who perspires too much. If paper tape doesn't work, you can try using a very tight ace bandage. They also have something called "Tegaderm", which is probably stronger than regular medical tape. On the package insert, they say not to cover it up for fear of overdose. I don't think it makes much of a difference if you have a tolerance.
 
i have the same problem/ i have to reapply my medical tape around my patch every day, and I didn't perspire til I started fentanyl.... the ace bandage thing works but its a pain in the ass. I hate, I mean HATE this patch. I've been on it for a month and a half
 
that's interesting. can't you have the patch on while you shower? i mean it's supposed to be on for three days, so why would sweat be different than the h2o from a shower?

Get a Tegaderm cover patch (normally used to cover the area where an IV is inserted) at your pharmacy to put over it. They come in several sizes. It will easily keep the FTD patch on for 3 days.

You can buy them cheap on Ebay, and if you call the manufacturer of the patch they will usually send you free covers for the FTD patch if you tell them you are having trouble with them falling off.

ok i got some Tegaderm and it works thanks. and i sweat so much is the side effect of my percocet
