Problems registering (IV) lately...

I got a picture of a nice Missed Shot, 0.55cc of Buprenorphine (0.3mg/ml) and it SUCKS!

but still start doing the bicep curls and forearm exercices please

when you start getting intense with the lifting the veins start bulgin really good and just seeing thembulge in the mirror makes you feel good and smile and gets you excited, makes me want to get high sadly

keeps them nice and fluffy/healthy

I tend to use a 25gauge needle and it slides in with such ease...

i was having tons of trouble registering before, but i started IVing the way someone else said in this thread about holding the syringe like a knife. it works so easily like that.

slightly off topic, but how many people do you think actually IV pain meds for actual pain relief, instead of just a high?

Damn 25 guage. I use 30. Maybe I should get 28. The pharmacists here suck dicks. I have a great story now to get syringes. Whjy would you not want to ...off topic. Forget it.

I wonder if the register is as satisfying as the high. I guess not, or I would just hit veins all day, lol.

Try being in the bathroom after a three day coke run and your eyes are going back and forth so you can't see and your head is going dingdongdingdong. And you can't hit a vein. Freakin' awful.

u might have cotton stuck in the needle? (happens to me alot) try burning the tip of the neddle a little bit with a lighter see if that works

I'm going to fucking cry

Posting here instead of starting a new thread

13 hours and all I'm left with is the slight detection of a heroin high. I'm using 1cc 30g 1/2" syringes. I bought these last week and thought they were a gift from god, I was so wrong. But It's not even entirely the syringes. I'm shooting black tar and I've never had this much trouble. I bought speed and H yesterday. I always do the speed first and when I begin coming down I shoot the H. Everytime on speed I see veins that never see the light of day.

Registering is pretty easy, but with these syringes I have to have the needle just barely sticking out from all the way in. It's so goddamn hard to stay in the vein like that. Not even pushing the plunger down, just registering for more than a milisecond.

That's not even it, the problem is when I register and fall out my entire fucking solution keeps turning the darkest of red making it impossible for me to tell if I've registered again. I know with the shorter needles there's veins that are too deep for me to hit. But these aren't working out. I have about 3 active absesses now and at least 40 small bumps.

Do I go back to the shorts? I have no idea what to fin do. I find it hard to shoot up at a low angle parallel to the skin. I'm always 45-80 degrees. Is there any advice what so ever that can help me with this particular problem.

I've been doing H for well over 2 years and It just doesn't get easier for any significant amount of time, massive fail.

My advice is to get better at going at a lower angle. When you came in with the needle almost resting flat on your arm, you can fit much more of the length of a needle into the vein, that way you dont have to have a huge portion of it not in at all. Also, you can keep your hand steady that way by resting it on your forearm just below the crook of your elbow while your shooting. Think about needles they use for IV's in hospitals. They are huge and long, but they go in flat, allowing the length of them to slide into the vein. Its the same concept.

Thats probably whats messing you up. I NEVER use short needles and Ive never had any of the problems you are talking about.

Also, if the solution is really dark, when you are registering, pull the plunger back far enough to create a pocket of air in the barrel. If that air pocket fills up with fluid, then obviously it is blood that you are drawing in, telling you that you are in the vein. It doesnt matter if the solution is clear or pitch black, youll be able to tell if the needle fills up with more fluid.

uh yea go back to the short needles? you dont have to use the long one just cause everybody else does ,i use to use the shorts but i can hit alot more veins with the long ones(deeper ones) that way you can rotate sites

simple as that if its hard with the longs go back to shorts

Since this has kind of become a "i have trouble -insert problem here- with IVing" thread...

i went to shoot hyrdromorphone into the big thick (at least on me) vein on the outside of the crook of your arm, for me i can't see it as easily as the ones closer to the middle (as in seeing green/blue) but i know its there because it's popped way out. anyway i was having a little trouble registering and ended up having to push like the whole needle in (1/2") at a (rougly) 10 degree angle.

it kind of hurt but i finally registered some blood... tried to re register to make sure i was in and it didn't pull anymore blood back so i moved around and got a little more. i slowly pushed down the solution (4mg in rougly 1ml) and it was really sore going in. my arm was immediately sore and immediately felt "tough" under the skin, comparatively to my right arm. At first of course I thought I skin popped or went in the muscle but 5 seconds after i pulled the tourni off i felt the full rush (if not heavier...) for 2mg. my arm is still sore and still feels "tough" under the skin, but is not discolored or swollen.

any thoughts?

Youve just missed some of the shot. Either the needle slipped out a little bit or leaked out somehow. Either way, if you felt the hydromorphone, then obviously you didnt miss very much. Id still keep an eye on it. Heat up a wet wash rag for about 45 seconds, or until its a little hot (not too hot), and keep it on the area where you missed.

But yeah, shouldnt be anything serious, just a tiny miss.

Hey, I have kind of the same problem, exvcept my hot spot was my left arm inner elbow but once I OD´d on h and k (I od´d on the H but the IV K didn´t help as I instantly passed out with the needle in and I fell over my arm and when my family found me and called the paramedics they gave me naloxone but when they removed the needle it was a bloody mess and blood started coming out so I had to get it even more open to see what was causing the bleeding and then after they gave me antibiotics whilst I was on w-d´s they stiched me with no painkillers, finding another sweet spot was hard, and I didn´t do much rotation at first, and the veins on my arm are deep and I should use a tourniquet, but I was a junkie and would rather poke myself 40 times and shave my legs to be able to see the veins there, i used to use .29 or .31 Terumos when I started mainlining and had my spot, fast discrete and efficient.

I quit Heroin, and daily IV use, though I´m getting good quality blow lately and i´m rxd morphine and can get midazolam vials, so I indulge a couple times a week, now my hot spot is a fat visible vein on my left hand, I actually have 3 big ones on my hand, but registering and keeping the angle with smaller gauges is way more difficult and even a waste now I registered and when i´m about to pull the plunger since they are so tiny I miss or feel i got out, so now my syringe of choice is a .27 Tuberculine 1ml Terumo, or if they don´t carry terumos I go with .25 BD also tuberculine, I backload since I generally don´t have a micron with me when I have loads of drugs, only when I have weed and pills...anyway I leave 5-10 units with air at the top before shooting with the bigger gauges and as soon as it registered the crimson cloud comes instantly and way faster than wioth smaller gauges, yeah I get marks in my hand, but now it´s winter and I have sore hands anyway and wear gloves, and generally I shoot in the weekend or when the big cheeses at work are away.

Fuck, once I was sleepless at work and we had LOADS of .21 Butterflies at the Phlebotomogist room with 10ml syringes to draw blood, dunno why they used such a big gauge, I talked with the clinical samples analizer and asked but I was on phenobarbital and remember shit about what she told me, i hope I didn´t came off as a junky, though the lab owner knows my whole rap sheet and I spend every damn day there and she comes once a week.

Anyway I had extracted methylphenidate crystals and loaded about 40mgs (took a plastic spoon from the coffee machine) and used about 80units with this big ass syringe, and I left more than usual air i leave at the top, it was painful as fuck, but it was so much more comfortable to put the syring on the table and only having to worry about the needle, well at the second I hit my left hand usual vein the syringe instantly was filled with cold dark blood I pressed the plunger easily but man did it hurt!! and how I bleed afterwards, luckily I dissinfected made a compress and put me a big band aid and went stright to my laptop, 2 dyas later I still had the mark, but I never registered that easily before, I don´t reccomend iVing with .21´s, but a .25*.27 could be a good start, and if you can get higher gauge butterflies i deffinitely recomend them for rolling veins and angle problems.

Generally I feel no pain, I´m right handed but I´ve abused my right arm badly after or whilst taking a shower with a tourniquet and could always register easier with .25´s, it never hurted, only once I shot coke, but I think it was a strange reaction to the cut and using a vein I don´t generally use cause I had hit my hand the day before, now i just stick to my hand and always dissinfect my hands, try to have the cleanest gear, ampoules if possible or filter very well if doing stupid stuff like shooting pills, anyway after my experience with the right arm I stick to my hands, sometimes I hit my right hand now though it´s harder to keep steady since as I said I´m right handed...

Hope this advice was useful, if you iv daily don´t use .25s, and neither your hands, but for me it´s the way it works.

But .27s (I always buy by the handful since I can ask behind the counter and we don´t have stupid laws regarding needles) so I mostly reuse 3-4times if I´m shooting coke and I´m too paranoid to move, and I always reccomend a new spike for each shot, they cost cents, order a box off the internet if you can´t buy bthem at pharmacies at your state.

With good technique and a medical ¨spaghetti¨tourniquet you always wash with alcohol or at least detergent before use, a steamy shower before or during the shot and leaving about 10units of air at the top you´ll have it easier registering, about the pain you feel though I dunno, try with a bigger gauge and if it´s worse maybe you should lay off for a while and use another ROA, do some push ups every night and your sweet spot will be as easy to hit like iot was before.

Me, I don´t like doing push ups...
