I just received my Complete (Mecke, Simons, Marquis) kit in the mail. I was reading the instructions, and it states that bottle "A" of the Simons test should contain a sea-blue colored liquid. Mine, however, contains a reddish liquid. Does anyone know what this means/if this is bad? Thanks

I haven't read the instructions you are quoting, but it sounds as though there is a typo of some kind. Simons is a reddish-brown liquid until it reacts with a secondary amine. Reaction with a secondary amine results in the reagent turning a blue colour.
