Hello!

I have recently purchased 25mg of 25i-Nbome,but my vendore have only freebase powder
and i I tried to convert in HCL form:

THE PROCESS

25mg of 25i-nbome in small glass and added few ml of 10%HCL but the substance no dissolve,:(
then i add another small portion of hcl,but no dissolve.:(
I,Add few ml of 35%HCL,but not dissolve.:X

At this point I start to think that HCL is not much soluble in h2o
I had EtOh and more is dissolved but not all
I heat in small portion the solution and dissolves, but a little time some substance is back out.

CONCLUSION
I think that the conversion was successful, but the "5i-Nbome is not much soluble in h20

Since it is the first time I buy a compound of Nbome family.
Does anyone have tips concerning,do you think the conversion has been successful?
is EtOh siutable for creating a concentrate solution for sublingual route?

There has already happened?
I would be very grateful to those could help me!!!!!!:)

etoh is the best solvent for the work, hands down. you want to make sure you work with molar masses, not ml. too little hcl and not everything will convert. too much, and the solution will be acidic (not nice when you want to have it in your mouth for 20min) and can even destroy the 25I.

i previously converted a freebase to citrate using too much excess acid. the result was mediocre (1/3rd expected effects) and i added more acid thinking it was still the freebase being a problem. this reduced it to about 1/6th expected effects.

NEVER BUY THE FREEBASE. i dont know why vendors started carrying it when simple logic dictates that an easy 9for a lab) conversion to hcl salt form would be far more practical.

Hello!
Thank you very much for the response

In principle, there should be 10 ml of 10% HCl and 5ml of 35% -
Anyways I now leave it there and do evaporate.
EtOH should be work fine for solubilization in order to create drops
(usually i put all phen with low-dose such as 2c-e/p-DOI in solution,
for me is the best thing to do)
I should find a solvent in which the freebase is insoluble, but soluble form hcl
so that adding the acid drop by drop, and stops the addition of acid just the substance is solubilizes.
(or on the contrary)

Is it a fine method?

To convert the freebase to a salt one normally has to heat the f/b in a solution of acid while stirring or shaking it to ensure the freebase contacts the acid evenly. Use 5-10% HCl. If you just add acid to the freebase and wait it will not convert it.

I also don't think that any of the NBOMe are more than 2 mg/ml soluble in water. Perhaps you just need to add more H2O.

i recently realized that one of my NBOMes i got lying around is also a freebase and i want to make a solution for a nasal spray bottle. i usually have all sub-mg substances in 20-30% EtOH but i guess a freebase will not dissolve in distilled water + ethanol.

do i really have to convert/evap it to a salt first or can i just use some weak acidic solvent for the solution like 5-8% rice vinegar or citric acid?
it's probably a bit more nasty up the nose than water but i would not mind if the effects are achieved that way.

At the end I have not solved the problem,
in the sense that the powder is only in wall solubilized in EtOH,
I'll try to dissolve in IPA and put it on inert material
next time will order the bottler,
so it will be much simpler,
the problem is that my trusted supplier only has the freebase form of various NBOME's.

However, to smoke the freebase would be fine, but I do not know the dosage of this method of recruitment, does anyone know?

EDIT:I think the conversion has taken place only in part

Obsidious - 40% ethanol and water is horrible up the nose too. You might get away with a hot solution of either of those weak acids in water :)
