Opioids probably a very stupid question about Panafen Plus?

Someone I know (seriously) has some panafen plus and is going to crush them up and snort them. they are only 12.5mg of codeine + 200mg ibuprofen.
If i'm correct... does'nt snorting codeine in any form just neutralise it anyway because it takes so long to metabolise?
Also aren't there other substances in the Panafen that would make it rather unpleasant to snort anyway?
It just seems like a stupid thing to get high from imo. Wouldnt it be better to extract the codeine from the panafen?
 
Take codeine orally, an extraction should be done for higher doses to avoid gastric issues caused by the ibuprofen, however I am not well versed in the methods of an ibuprofen extraction.
