I dont expect much iof a reply here, but just wanna give it a go anyhow

Does anyone follow pro starcraft here? do the names jaedong, bisu, much, nada, midas etc mean anything to you

did you watch free Vs much tonight?

I've watched a few games on youtube. I think its pretty silly, but its cool to watch people who are that good.

Most of the really important stuff happens in like the first two to ten minutes of the game.

Besides, scout + improved zealot = win or a crazy reaver fuck with a dragoon combo.... hmmm.... what is the best way to end someone?
 
Yeah, thats basically why I stopped playing the game. I never "got" the whole rush thing. Why exactly are you playing the game if you just wanna win 10 times in an hour? You might as well just use cheats :\

I prefer strategy games that allow me to use my style: emphasis on defence and diplomacy, not much infantry, powerful late technology.

In SC, the protoss kinda have the potential with the carriers (nothing more beautiful than a fleet of carriers cloaked by a couple of archons when they suddenly release a swarm and decimate a whole base in seconds!), and I've won several games that way. But one rarely reaches this goal.

I have a feeling SC2 is designed to claim even more lives of southeast Asian teens that die winning rush after rush and forgetting the basic life-needs ;)

but really, its far and away the premier e-sport and the ultimate competitive rts bar none.

No no my good man, I implore you to explain where I went wrong - you are obviously a pro, right?

I guess I may just have enough LIFE to not be able to memorize the names of all units of a game I stopped playing in my mid-teens. I was clearly talking about an aircraft that cloaks, and there is only one that starts with "Ar".
 
Bliz needs to do something since they fucked up WoW with their last xpac. 3 years playing and I finally canceled my account. They will probably kill WoW, but maintain a huge following with Starcraft 2.
 
The unit you're thinking of is the Arbiter - that's the flyer that cloaks nearby units. The archon is the big white energy ball unit that you get for sacrificing two templars.

Go back to your 7v1 fastest mineral comp stomps you child. The grown ups are talking.
 
if you are pro.. you should be able to defend a 2v1 rush easily and a 3v1 if ur really pro.. and then your teamates can always help out. u really do need teamwork for the game

sc does allow you to do defense and go for the crazier characters..

If you didn't even know that sc was big in korea, you wouldn't be raping anybody here. ;)
 
^ yeah seriously. i never got too into it but if you are even somewhat decent at multiplayer you'd know the craziness about sc over in korea.. and being "good" at multiplayer isn't easy and isn't anything like playing the solo missions or campaign.
 
I used to play SC all the time back in its heyday. My clan was ranked in the top 150 and our best player (star_roahn) who is a RL friend of mine was ranked 45th worldwide at one point.

Nowadays I just play friendly BGH whenever I can get people i know online

P.S. Rofl at people who think they are good at SC and dont know about how big it is in Korea. Its basicly a professional sport.

i miss enjoying this genre of gaming, but to enjoy it one needs to invest far too much time and patience, and i'd rather just simply press one button to kick in a car window and run over prostitutes. :D

i can appreciate the skill behind dedicated players of games like these.

im not a pro im just not a moron...
i wish i had enough off a life to get unit names wrong, alas i do not.
and wtf, u meant arbiter and i told you so, deal with it.
