Privacy (and the accidental semi-doxx)

So after just becoming slightly concerned over a poster's potentially slightly over-revealing (oo-er missus) location meanderings has me wondering what lengths people go to to prevent doxx etc

I am aware that some posters know areas that I have been affiliated with (but perhaps not where I reside now, or do I? and that a couple definitely do know my approximate area (shhhh now motherfuckers, heh) but that doesn't seem to concern me. Probably due to me never having over personal amounts of anything and not being active on 'the scene' anymore - but I still wanna remain private to the point that I won't post pictures of my stunning (people would love to see them) pets etc....because I think that someone I know irl reads BL sometimes and I mos def do not want them to associate this profile with me (some other people - I wouldn't give a shit though). All in all though it's definitely better for me to remain anon for various reasons. I've been 'morally honest' on this site but have also strewn the odd red-herring around too, haha

I know that I could easily find an old prolific poster's home (From UK but hasn't posted in a while) just from the info he gave out regarding places very near to his abode, for instance. I don;t think he gave a fuck though

Also, just a couple of weeks ago, I easily recognised a prolific and well-known BL-ers syntax/turn of phrase on a completely unrelated part of the internet, totally by chance. It's already common knowledge where this poster resides and 60 seconds after seeing the above I had their first name too, and again, could find them easily If I so wished (I don't, and all details are safe as anything with me)

Both posters referred to above have also shared selfies on BL so I presume they would not give a shiny shit that I could find them easily - and they are both definitely only personal-users...but if I can find 'em, others can too! (I'm far from a super-sleuth...or am I?

Any thoughts on privacy? What lengths do you go to to maintain it?

Also if either poster has an inkling it's them I could find, feel free to ask (PM) and I'll tell you the truth (If it is you that is - I wont be telling anyone else your id)

Till recent conservative, then more open. Like my country.

Out of topic, but I have an enlightening and educative nice story to tell:
Once upon the time there I was happily wanking at home. Suddenly, the screen was taken by a warning: under a spanish flag and the coat of arms of cops, there was the statement that they, national police, had a record of mine visiting "forbidden" porno and other "extremist content" sites (ofc, I never had done). So they wanted money to liberate my pc, and were stupid enough to ask for $ in an € country. I turned off the pc and then on again and it has went.
Several weeks later same shit happen again, but this time, it wasn't only the flag and bullshit, this time there were a pic of mine on the right corner of the screen!!
Fortunately my vision is fucked -and I am a horny dog- so I was watching that porno from real close. At least the photo didn't catch me nob in hand, only a close up of my face, terribly pervert looking....
Oh, off/on turning didn't work that time and had to get the pc fixed in a store

there are so many people in my state with the same name as me... i also don't do anything illegal really and pretty much stand by everything i have to say, so i don't really care if my identity is known as a form of activism... as far as hackers, i really have nothing, and mostly am only concerned about people hacking my you tube and it getting deleted. not the end of the world for me.... there are actually a ton of you tube stars where it's probably pretty easy to find their identity and location and they are probably more controversial than i am especially regarding drug safety. i don't think i'm really giving out info that endangers people any more than any one else on the internet and am pretty tame and cautious with recommending stuff and don't really have a 100% gung ho drugs are the solution attitude... i feel like if the authorities knew about my accounts, they'd respect it.

if i were to get drugs from a friend or something, i might actually just leave out the anecdotes about it and just use stuff from my past at this point cause i don't want to get any of my friend's investigated or anything.. idk, probably not likely at all... like mostly, i just use weed legally at this point, or might move to some where shrooms are legal eventually... i pretty much as a story about how i feel about drugs stick to being legal for my mental health at this point... i might sneak if i were gonna break the rules though just not to have anything to worry about.
