Gaga praises marijuana on stage

Lady Gaga told fans at her concert in Amsterdam that marijuana has helped her write her music, as she lit up on stage.

The 26-year-old singer told her fans she had cut down on drinking alcohol because she prefers smoking the drug and revealed it had been hugely beneficial to her music.

According to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I've really cut down on drinking. It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music.

"It's like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it's going to be OK."

She also joked she was going to talk to US President Barack Obama in a bid to make marijuana legal in America.

The eccentric singer recently had a tattoo inked into her newly-shaved head in front of a live audience as part of the launch for her new perfume Fame.

Gaga had an image of a cherub wearing a crown etched into the back of her head at New York's Solomon R Guggenheim Museum and tattooist Mark Mahoney said the design is a nod to her Italian roots.

Mark - who was helped by his assistant Wes Brown - explained: "It's kind of a Renaissance era cherub, a nod to her Italian heritage."

The singer - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - put on a number of live art installation features during the evening to launch the scent, which included the singer arriving at the venue inside a replica of her perfume bottle, inside which she was asleep on a bed.

Meh, for me shes just a popular bitch who knew how to grab attention of public, not much real skills in her own head..
 
Someone in the audience gave her the joint from what I understand, it's pretty common for musicians to partake when handed. I've seen Phil anselmo from Pantera do it, Les Claypool from Primus, cypress hill.. etc. Every time I have seen it happen the musician has addressed the audience and thanked them for the gift while praising it in some way or another.

I don't agree. Cypress Hill for instance are practically synonymous with weed (and sometimes this obscures the fact that they are excellent musicians).

Also, and more importantly, none of them have vaginas.

Seemingly every time a female celebrity gets mentioned in combination with drugs, she gets called a poser bitch on these boards.

BUT, somebody on another thread said this about Rihanna:

Isn't it okay that a pop culture phenomenon who's idolized by millions upon millions of ordinary teenage girls does her bit to make drug use just a little less stigmatized?

^Well that's true. I guess girls have it harder with promoting drugs heh.
I can believe Cypress Hill smoke a lot of weed just because they want to, but have difficulties believing so in Gaga.

But I admit I'm biased because I hate her because in my opinion Gaga promotes the life approach that says "it doesnt matter how many people hate you NOR what you can actually do well, only thing that matters that you everybody sees you and knows you".

I'll tell you why she is a fucking POSER, and why the others mentioned are not .... Cypress Hill is a label filled with people who have been smoking since they were 13-14. They are real stoners, the kind that smoke all damn day and don't even get more than a buzz. If they do this kind of shit, they light up their joint and keep talking like it's normal.... they don't stop the damn show and tell everyone their reasons for using the "drug"... they just do it because they want to.

Ga Ga? She's a fucking poser. If she just lit that joint up and didn't say anything about it, this wouldn't even be a news story.... but no, she needs her attention, so she goes up on stage with "drugs", talking about how they've "helped her music" (OH GOD. If you smoke weed you're doomed to be an attention grabbing, yet absolutely horrible singer D: ) when we all know that's bull shit...........


She just wants the attention, I doubt if that joint even had weed in it.
 
i know nothing about ga ga just like drake, and i wish to keep it that way.

But i saw CH in concert here once and we were all smoking bongs in the crowd, and J's and they had this huge blow up bong on stage, and i think they smoked weed on stage too, the whole arena stank, it was a fun night, the security were all cool too, there was probably a few thousand of us there.
 
Lady Gaga has be a advocate of cannabis since she first came on the scene. She has made no secret of her use in the past. To say she did this as a pose is a little ignorant.

Personally, I have no problem with famous people coming out and describing the benefits they have experienced from drug use.
My ultimate wish is full legalization, and I think that this kind of thing can only help.
