A massive thrust of blood lust has me hanging
At the cusp of intervention and meditation
Praying I focus on my visiting mind, vast
thousands of unmentionables, and Two
Who protect and guide - Strength and Death
I am Death and Death is me, the price of guidance
Strength is fearsome to me, the cost of protection
To live in death and cower in fear is my answer
To spur my actions and save my life, what would
Be a waste if I wasn't me.

But I am me and Death guided by Strength
The inner workings need to be tinkered
A system shock and a deus ex machina
You could never have recovered alone

I think that your metaphor is apt. Within us is a dualism birth and death renewal and finality. I appreciated reading your words as they ring true to us.

Don Juan (from Carlos Castenada books) says that the ultimate strength comes from death because once you accept death, nothing else can compare. Great rhythm too
