Preventing muscle/joint pain on acid?

First let me say, I tried to search muscle pain in the search feature, mostly got threads related to opiates, so if there is a thread about what I'm asking then feel free to link it up my way and lock this thread. I failed at finding one:(.

Anyways, it seems like most of the times I dose I get moderate to extreme pain in my back that carries through my legs to my knees. I enjoy Lucy and usually I'm dosing with friends so I just try to ignore it so I'm not a big downer on every bodies time (nobody wants to hear someone complain about how much pain they are in when you're frying lol). It doesn't always happen, I've had some great times where I've danced all night at a renegade and wasn't really sore when the sun came up.

I have pain similar to this normally, but it's not as extreme as when I dose. Sometimes it's not bad, like normal aches and pains. And other times it's been so bad I literally can't sit up from my chair, let alone walk home at the end of the night. I have other friends who will get back pains like this during trips, just not as bad or as frequent.

Does anyone know the cause of this? I've heard people say the whole "strychnine" thing but I don't really believe that.

Is there anyway to prevent it? I've heard of doing stretches while coming up, but it just seems like an awkward thing to start doing at random if I'm out frying around town.

Thanks for any help, and sorry again if this has been posted.

I find for muscle tension on psychedelics taking magnesium a couple of hours before I dose works absolute wonders. YMMV but I'd definitely give it a try :)

I went through a phase a couple years back where every time I tripped my back always felt like it was tight, like it had to be cracked real back but I just couldn't crack it. It got bad enough to the point where I stopped taking acid as much but I realized since ive slowed down on lsd (was down to once every 2 months) the sensation went away and hasn't come back since. Also I don't know what you do when you trip but I suggest going for long walks and doing active stuff because if I remember correctly every time I had a ache or pain in my back on lsd it was while sitting down for an extended period of time.

Thanks for the quick and helpful replies!

The magnesium idea sounds like a good idea, might see about throwing down on a stock of that in the future. Do they come in tablets or something else? (sorry if that sounds stupid lol).

And we generally are pretty active when we fry, we usually walk around our town after we dose. I actually noticed if I don't walk around when I start coming up my body starts feeling a little overwhelmed. But the pain happens regardless of how active we are. I've had times where we chilled around a friends house and I've been in extreme pain and I've also had it where I'm hurting while on a nice long walk. I've also had opposite experiences where I'm perfectly fine just kickin it or out walking around all night.

I don't know, it's weird and it really sucks since acid is the only hallucinogen I dig.

You can get magnesium supplements from any health store, they're usually tablets yes, though I'm sure you could probably find it somewhere in powder form or capsules.
