Pretentious words battle

Nalunaarasuartaateeraaranngualioqatigiiffissualioriataallaqqissupilorujussuanngortartuinnakasinngortinniamisaalinnguatsiaraluallaqqooqigaminngamiaasiinngo

Now, I'm the first to admit that my Greenlandic is a bit limired. the above WORD roughly means:

'There were reports that they apparently – God knows for how many times – once again had considered whatever I, my poor condition despite, still could be considered to be quite adept and resourceful as initiator to put a consortium together for the establishment of a range of tiny radio stations.'

So if any of you consider visiting Greenland, I hope we can agree it's quite a bold conversational gambit...

I leave it to our Nordic freinds to say iff Greenlanders are in the habit of shoe-horning this word into everyday conversaton. If they do, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Bless your cotton socks. I must be old enough to be one of your grandparents. But whenever in doubt, what time I have left will be spent it doing my best to make EVERY BLer my superior in the field of medicinal chemistry and/or harm reduction.

Trust me, I have two scant fields of domain of knowledge and even I have to fly in @Skorpio from a guarded compound in the Pyrenees mountains when I get stuck. Not someone who says a lot but one of the bone fide geniusees I've known.

I spent 3 weeks in Greenland on vacation. Great trip.
 
@chippermonk - and was it as expected. Was every other word 'Nalunaarasuartaateeraaranngualioqatigiiffissualioriataallaqqissupilorujussuanngortartuinnakasinngortinniamisaalinnguatsiaraluallaqqooqigaminngamiaasiinngo'?

I deeply appreciate the praise and flattery, but you’ve got to remember that I try to have a sense of decorum here. I double check scientific facts before I post, so a ton of the knowledge is not mine.

Plus you don’t see all the stupid shit I do in real life. It is just a matter of happenstance that I have domain specific knowledge that is applicable here.

You casually say 'well, I read papers' but even Newton openly said '“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

I know the ONE thing I did that really made Dan happy. I sent him the papers on Cebranopadol. He wasn't given to displays of happiness (when you consider his life, I can see why. Everything was overshadowed by his escaping the Nazi regime but losing his entire family - 34 of them) but he did say he was glad to learn how his work was of value. Just that. That what he had discovered helped others.

That's as much as we can ever hope for. That whatever WE publish, at some future point someone else can use our data and vitai lampada.
