Pressure on left side of brain and body while high?

I'm very new to marijuana and have smoked about 6 times. I recently smoked it and immediately I felt blood pumping through a big blood vessel in my neck on the left side of my body. I then felt my left brain was 'pressured'. I then looked in the mirror and the left side of my face was a bit more dreary than the other side. My left eye was also much more red and swollen than my right eye. A strange thing was that I could somehow feel the blood vessels more on the left side of my body. Is this normal? IS this a bad sign?
