Preserving Fresh Poppies

Due to an etizolam taper, i havent slept, so decided to go for a bike ride/poppy picking mish.

got myself a good carrier bags full and i intend to only use them once a week. would stabbing the pods (so the insides dont steam) and putting them in an oven at about 90C be a good method of drying?
ive tried drying on window sills before and they went mouldy. gladly, we dont live in afghanistan where they could be sun-dried.

any better ideas?
 
actually, i read never to 'cook' opium above 170 farenheight, thats about 70C, right? do you think i need to stab the pods also? maybe i could just leave them longer. also, about 1/4 are small, like marbles or some like smints! they should still contain the alkaloids, right?

morphine degrades at about 80C so don't cook them at 90.

In the past, I've frozen fresh pods and they kept for quite a while. Freeze, then use as usual. Not quite as 'handy' as dried, but will certainly work.
 
All the time, but not last night! Well I had two hours passed out on GBL, I think I've developed a tolerance (yet another, why does my body not do what I want :X) and I overshot trying to find my new "sweet spot"... which seems to be about 3ml 8(
 
right, i just chopped up the pods roughly (i know, wasteful,; but i had to do it fast) and made a big ass batch of tea (which im enjoying now). the main brew (about 1.5L) is still stewing in my room now. i plan on seiving it and preserving it with alcohol--my own LAUDANUM!

say i use vodka of 40% vol. how many parts vodka will i need to parts tea?

Seriously though, please do come back and let us know how you find the end result. You've (almost) inspired me to get off my fat arse and go on a somniferum hunting mission.
 
keep them in a cool, dry, gloomy (im talking about the light level) plkace about 18 deegrees

you will soon find out ehy thet are caklled poppies all nigfht long here yoiu were here "pop" "pdoing" etc as the shells ejaculate their seeds.

im sure that noit the right wotrrds to use there bit its taying.

i did nothinhg wityh mine foir trn day except turn thrm to stop them stickig to newspaper on the floor. the pods were so small comopared to their mums and dads that id given uop. afgter ten day i decided fuck it and made4 a bre a=of aboout 10 small pods

FUCKIN HOME HARVESTWAS DECIMNATED THIS YEAR, NOT 1 POD SURCIVED.

IT deciceided to pidd dowen for a fortnignight at the srage of the poppoied development where they needed dtyness. so i bough some grow tunnells. RHEY KILLED EVERY LAST POPPY. you bastards !!!! wails !
