Misc Prescription sleep meds - What are the options

It's a scheduled drug so therefore illegal to buy without a rpescription. Not sure why you would pick Zopiclone, if your gonna break the law and order a sleeping pill personally id at'least shoot for benzos. But then again I don't think Lunesta is phsycially addictive or causes dependency.

If you ordered a shitload of xanax bars and were taking a lot, you would get a serious lesson on benzo withdrawals lol. I feel bad for little kids that got put on a real low dose xanax and just stayed on it gradually increasing but for literally his or her whole life. 3-4 months of 4-6mg daily was hell for me to withdraw from.. if you were on it 20 years it would require a SERIOUS taper probably lasting over a year.

Sorrhy to derail. But yeah its never safe to order from gthose online pharmacies, more times then not its a scam, and if you do get shit itll be fake or somethin, and a federal offense for ordering drugs though the us postal system along with possession of a IV scheduled drug,

I take Ambien Cr 12.5 and klonpin 1mg for anxiety and sleep at night and 200mg of Seroquel...oh am suppose to be Restoril but tired of meds somedays sounds dumb but true...blah

I use Temazepam, but don't get dependent on these for sleep. You can't take benzos everynight and not end up with worse problems than when you started.

If you took it as prescribed, one 30mg pill at bedtime, a psych I saw claimed it would not cause dependency. I was going into this IOP program and told him I was scared to just stop the benzos without taper, because i have been on teh temazepam for well over a year.. In reality I had been taking more benzos then just that which was really what I feared, so i said that I had piled a bunch extra temaz before I used to take them every night and started taking it a few times throguhout the night to keep myself asleep, even then he did not offer any kind of diazepam or clonzepam taper. He wrote a script of trazadone and sent me on my way.

I ended up CTing off 4-6mg xanax daily for the past few months. It actually was not too bad. It was more bearable then an IV heroin habit. It's odd though, I can go months without using any xanax, and when I do use, after 1 or 2 days my tolerance is right at where it used to be, and dependency comes on so quick. 7 days is the max I would take a recreational dosage of that size. 14 days of that amount of xanax daily after well over a month of abstinence gave me worse withdrawals then the worst IV dope wd's i've ever had. It was really only 24 hours of that crazy hell and the wd's diminished faily quick, so about 48 hours in xanax free the withdrawals started, and the severe part I described above only lasted another 24-36 hours before the wd's became much mroe bearable.

I personally think that you never lose that tolerance. For me.. after 3 days the change in the effects is like night and day,.. Most drugs are like that if you were addicted, but I dont think it's really a physical thing in most cases, usually it's that youdecide you have enough self control to use responsibly now and before you know it your back at the level of use years ago when I was using.

This is off topic and I nkow it's going to sound crazy, but my friend got his micron filters in the mail and microned some ambien, and it was really carzy to shoot. The effects onyl lasted about 15 minutes but you go on such a crazy trip. Hallucinations like literally I saw her do/say teh weirdest shit thinking there were people in the room. For me I was like looking at this dude standing over be and just trippin all around, and the rush is crazy euphoric. I neveri n a million yuears thought ambien would do that or that it was even water soluable.

I would never attempt without a micron filter because I had to cotton filter before runnig it through the micron filter, and there ewas so much gunk, I did come out with a really clean nearly clear solution after hittin the micron. Those never cease to amaze me.

If sleep is truly your desired goal seroquel will knock you on your ass and keep you there for the 8 hour count.

Most z drugs (ambien) don't give you "real sleep" which is why you wake up feeling like the quality of sleep is shit. I believe you dont enter REM or DEEP BRAIN STATE or w/e the fuck it is (its one or the other not both) when you take Z drugs and some benzos.

At least seroquel will give you "real feeling sleep" if thats your goal.

I've also heard trazadone can work magically for some but i've never tried it so thats just third party info.

I had forgotten Halcion. I'd save this as the last line of treatment when all else fails for a short-acting, the "crack" of benzos. I have a script for this too only need like .25mg and your out cold. Can have NASTY psychotic side effects even when used as directed.

Seroquel should really be used for psychiatric patients w/ insomnia who benefit from the neuroleptic properties as well. For a healthy person w/ insomnia, steer clear.

As I mentioned, Temazepam has been the "morphine gold standard" for me for years, but I keep scripts for some other hypnotics as well because every once in a while I'll rotate meds, for efficacy and just some are better for different applications. I love temazepam for falling and staying asleep when I can give at least 8 hours to sleep or else it makes getting out of bed difficult, and I don't like to wake up still feeling benzo'd.

I took at least .25mg if not .5mg and it didn't knock me out...I took it at the dentist for fillings...I felt like I had taken half a bar...it wasn't until they put the nitrous mask on me that I passed out lmao...but once I had about 3 good inhales...it did it to me lmao...and nitrous doesn't even really do anything to me anymore...even at 60%...I get put on the fat smokers dose when I go to the dentist lmfao...

Halcion and Restoril are the best two hypnotics on the US market, hands down.

There is this myth that is perpetuated by people and health care professionals alike. The myth that Halcion causes "psychotic effects". A study was done comparing the effects of temazepam and triazolam found that temazepam actually produced more side effects. Behavioral side effects were stronger with temazepam than with triazolam at similar doses.
