Hey all, I've lurked for a long time.

Basically the deal is this. I am a very big fan of opiates. No matter how many times I quit, I always last a few weeks, then miss the instant euphoric gratification they provide. The ONLY reason I ever try to quit, however, is because I hemorrhage my money trying to acquire pills. I don't have health insurance, but I would easily pay for it month to month if I could only get a prescription for opiates. A consistent prescription for Roxis or something.

I don't want to get on Suboxone.

I also don't have health insurance. I am an independent musician, but I will gladly get insurance if it means I can get a scrip month to month.

My questions are:

I have no imminent medical problems. I have broken my hand three times, which has left it disfigured, but I have no pain. I just feel like I am a more productive, sane person on opiates.

Is it an idiotic thing to suggest to a doctor that I am looking to get my own prescription of Roxis (or something similar) because I am sick of buying them on the street and dealing with shady pill heads?

Also, what kind of insurance do you recommend to get? To at least lessen the blow of the cost.

Sorry if these questions seem silly, but I am just sick of spending all my money on pills. I'd rather just do it the real way. Maybe find a sympathetic doctor and handle it the real way.

Let me know. Sorry if I broke any rules posting this.

I would recommend getting any health insurance asap, just read in the fine print on their policies for medical prescriptions.

Don't ask for an Opiate prescription until a month later, or they might get suspicious that you got insurance just for that. And give your doctor a damn good reason why Opiates are the best option for the condition your in, and why no other will do. Show no signs of wanting it for fun, but for good reasons like i dunno what the drug even does, mental illnes fixing or something.

Best of luck.

It is really hard to get good opiates from doctors in America even if you have insurance.

You gotta have a legit reason like some back problems or other long-lasting pain issues.
Most doctors will try to prescribe you codeine, which is shity if you have a tolerance.
Start out slow and tell them that you tryed some of your buddy's gabapentins and and after a while tell them they don't work as good.
If you get lucky the doctor might give you a prescription for Vicodin. You also gotta find a a doctor that is not stingy and thats hard as well.

Wish you best luck!

This is gunna get closed but If I were you I would say I had pain in my disfigured hand, say it hurts where its disfigured or something

why would you even think this thread could fly?

were not here to help you get meds from your doctor to get high with.
if you had legitimate pain, then you wouldn't have problems getting it from the doctor and having to come here and ask.

now, I used pain meds before I got my script, so I'm not saying that to be a holier than thou asshole because thats not me. I'm saying that because if you don't have a reason for them, yet you still want them, you gotta deal with the streets bud.

No, tellng the doc you enjoy opiates is not gonna get you a script. Whoever said honesty is the best policy is a fucking liar.

I would think your best bet is to just sell to a doctor that you really are in pain, and need them for that. I wouldn't say anything about just wanting them b/c you don't trust junkies off the street or anything like that. Maybe just show him your hand and tell him it really does hurt, and that OTC painkillers haven't helped. I know they have pain management clinics scattered throughout Florida & I've heard it's easy to get scripts @ those places. Outside of that I don't know what to tell you.

AGREED with Squirrel... if you say i want my own roxis ....... to stop dealing with street guys hell end up calling the DEA or Cops and hell def put it down in your medical records and i guarantee if you have have something serious in the future where youll actually need opiates.... youll be FUCKED!

Also just saying straight out ur in pain and need it for something, that wont work either. People with severe pain issues like back and arthritis dont even get opiates to start..... ALL good doc (unfortuanlty for us) will almost never give u opiates as a starting medication unless ur out of surgery or something. They will always try to start you on something small... even tramadol is hard to get prescribed by a Doc.

BTW this thread is prob gonna get shut down soon.....

You will end up with a tolerance and then have to figure out how to get 2 bottles a month, then 3, then 4. It will be a never ending quest.

Your best bet is to find a psycholigist that can help you determine why you need opiates to feel better. Otherwise it's back to 2 bottles, then 3 bottles, then.....

I just walk up to people in lab coats and says "doc I need roxis because my dealer is shady" Generally they decline.

Generally speaking you need to convince them you either have legitimate pain or a gun. In the interest of harm reduction try pain first.

HAHAHA if your at the point of robbing a Doctor for pills theres some issues even us blu lighters dont have..... and wont be able to fix or help..... Lots of people rob pharmacy's for pills but they always get caught.

SO good luck in your future endeavors.
