Hey all, I've lurked for a long time.
Basically the deal is this. I am a very big fan of opiates. No matter how many times I quit, I always last a few weeks, then miss the instant euphoric gratification they provide. The ONLY reason I ever try to quit, however, is because I hemorrhage my money trying to acquire pills. I don't have health insurance, but I would easily pay for it month to month if I could only get a prescription for opiates. A consistent prescription for Roxis or something.
I don't want to get on Suboxone.
I also don't have health insurance. I am an independent musician, but I will gladly get insurance if it means I can get a scrip month to month.
My questions are:
I have no imminent medical problems. I have broken my hand three times, which has left it disfigured, but I have no pain. I just feel like I am a more productive, sane person on opiates.
Is it an idiotic thing to suggest to a doctor that I am looking to get my own prescription of Roxis (or something similar) because I am sick of buying them on the street and dealing with shady pill heads?
Also, what kind of insurance do you recommend to get? To at least lessen the blow of the cost.
Sorry if these questions seem silly, but I am just sick of spending all my money on pills. I'd rather just do it the real way. Maybe find a sympathetic doctor and handle it the real way.
Let me know. Sorry if I broke any rules posting this.
