I am hopefully going to see a new Sub doc in the next few days. This would be my third time starting on Bupe. My last Sub doc actually prescribed me Klonopin and Subutex.
Well I have a regular doctor I have been seeing for a while that prescribes me Klonopin. Not very much. .5mg 2 times a day for anxiety. It actually doesnt do anything for me anymore but I still want to keep getting the Klonopin. I definitely dont abuse it.
If I tell the Sub dob about my regular doc, and the Klonopin that couldnt hurt me in any way could it? I would prefer for my regular doctor to know absolutely nothing about this. I assume the sub doc or even the pharmacy are not allowed to talk to my regular doctor right? My understanding is that none of my doctors or even the pharmacy are allowed to talk to anybody else about me without my permission.
Im sure this is kind of a stupid question, and everyone will tell me it is fine to tell the Sub doc about the other doc and the Klonopin. I just wonder is there absolutely no way for my regular doctor to find out I am in a Suboxone program? It also wouldnt effect how much Sub they prescribe me either would it? I dont know how Sub docs look at it but I know some are leary of mixing opiates, and benzos. Although Bupe, and Klonopin really seems to have no effect on me.
Also is it ok if I tell the new Sub doc that I was on a Suboxone program before? Twice? I was actaully going to bring in one of my old bottles of Subutex to show what I used to get in hopes of getting Subutex again. As opposed to actual Suboxone. Which I cant afford.
For whatever reason I am just nervous going to see a Sub doc again. I dont know why. Im sure everyone here will just tell me to be totally truthfull, and tell them everything so they can best treat me. I just dont want to screw it up, and say the wrong thing. Or not tell them something that I should.
