Preparing the road towards DMT. Your expereinces and Insight Please.

So latley I've been looking into DMT. It is probably the only drug I havn't tried that I do desire to. Recently I met an individual who said he had access to some, as I've never come across it before I'm starting to do my research as this may be my chance in the near future. I guess I'll start by sharing my previous psychedlic experiences. I've done shrooms probaly half doezen times, lsd once and a few RC's numerous times inlcuding 2c-i, 2ce and 4aco-dmt. My most profound experiences have been with Shrooms I absolutely love them. Acid however fucked me but i got through it and learned alot too. I now know to not understimate psychedlics and thats why im looking for as much input and info on DMT before I try it. I'm also an avid lucid dreamer every night. I love dreams and am very comfortable with them I've learned that dmt may have a connection with the dream world it has sparked some interest. So I guess im asking what are your experiences with this drug? I know its supposed to be the most profound drug known to us. I;ve never hallucinated out of this universe, acid i created my own relity but it was still a reality as we know it. What should i do to prepare for this trip. Is it really a venture into the afterlife like some say?
 
No, there's no venturing into the after-life and no connection to dreams. Taken orally it's incredibly psychedelic and the air around you will be filled with translucent patterns. It's a beautiful bodyhigh and a very special drug.
 
I think Ismene is right. It's true DMT isn't ACTUALLY linked to other dreams or after-life, but I think you can interpret the reactions however you want. If you take it and feel like your in after-life, more power to you. It's whatever you want it to mean. Just be open to anything, and allow it to take you. That was single best advice I have had about it.
 
The only time I thought I was in the after life was off some mushrooms and harmala seeds:) . The first time I smoked DMT I had no idea what it was all about, it took me on an insane trip full of patterns and pattern shapes. After I thought I shit, pissed, and threw up on myself, but I didn't. The trip itself (smoked) only lasted about 5 minutes, but an extremely intense 5 minutes. Although DMT isn't linked to dreams or the after-life; I have found after many DMT trips that some of my trips are related to each other. DMT is a wonderful drug and one of my favorites.
 
The biggest thing about DMT I think is that you have to respect it. Im of the line of thinkers who think DMT is a gateway to otherwordly creatures and places. If your not ready or not respecting of it the trip will show it. Either not granting you access somewhat or kicking your ass so to speak haha.

My experiences with it were phenomenal. I spoke to entities and they told me wonderful things on life and living. Some say its stupid to think of a drug taking you to another world that exists but... I dunno. I had an extremely powerful feeling the place I went to exists. The phenomenon of how DMT is released upon near death and death only make me ponder the possibilities of it being part of an afterlife or something like it. Im not religious, agnostic if you will. But all I can say from my experience with this, is that there is something far far greater going on in this universe. Something we have nooo idea and are not even close with our philosophies and beliefs. What I do know, is everything will be alright and the bigger picture is a beautiful masterpiece:)
 
life is a crazy mystery, i dont doubt DMT takes you to other places etc. people shun the idea but who knows. for me its nothing like dreaming though. ive been extremely far on it, its uncomprehendingly astonishing beautiful stuff, ive seen and experienced things beyond my wildest dreams, its amazing. teaches you that you know nothing. cant even begin to put it into words. opened my mind up. got me interested in all kinds of things, for some reason i got really interested in physics and the universe after smoking DMT. its shocking stuff, can be a life changing experience

What do you mean by "respect" tho Rolling? Is DMT like some kind of gangster who will get upset if you "diss" it? ;)

Obviously you don't want to take it when you are naked and standing next to the police station - I agree with "respecting" it in that sense but you just approach it like any psychedelic experience.

The phenomenon of how DMT is released upon near death and death only make me ponder the possibilities of it being part of an afterlife or something like it.

It isn't released at death or near-death - that was just something Rick Strassman pulled out of his ass. There's no evidence whatsoever it's got anything to do with death. Certainly every near-death experience I've ever read (travelling down a dark tunnell towards a clear white light) sounds about as different to the psychedelic maelstrom of a DMT trip as you can possibly get. DMT is psychedelic with a capital P. I think some near-death people might have mentioned the word psychedelic if DMT was involved.

I tend to agree with you that Dr. Strassman's theories about DMT release at death, birth, and possibly during dreaming seem pretty unsupported. A massive change in consciousness at the most significant times in life (meaning birth and death) does not necessarily mean DMT is being released naturally during these moments. But can you honestly say that you don't see where Strassman is coming from?

DMT is perhaps the most profound, intense, and beautiful psychedelic in existence. When I am tripping on DMT, it always feels much more significant than just taking some drug, and always makes me marvel at how drastically one's consciousness can be altered and intensified. All of these things about DMT being a portal for your consciousness to another plane or dimension, or allowing you to get in touch with beings that are far beyond this world, may in fact be complete and utter bullshit. But the point is, when you're on DMT it certainly feels that way. And that's what needs to be respected.

absolutely spot on. literally the way i would of explained it, cant put it into words much better than this. really is amazing stuff, its changed me
 
Totally agree about DMT indole. It's beyond a drug. I don't know why but it has such a presence, you definately like there's something animate inside you.
 
beyond a drug indeed! a very feminine presence ive found, always had a heavy loving feminine presence like a godness or mothernature is showing you things, truly is profound beyond comprehension
 
Glad to hear that you guys agree with me! And yes DMT does have its own presence. Every single time I do it I always feel like there is someone else in my head...
 
i believe its the spirit of nature or something, the essence of everything living, we're all connected. the female entity thats always been present and like a guide in my trips has told me everything is about Love. absolute connected love. crazy deep stuff, fucking amazing

I just wanted to hop in here and QFT this. I have yet to experience DMT myself (though probably within the next year), but have a list a bible long of other psychedelic journeys. And I've always felt that female, loving presence as well. It IS all Love. Life, energy, creation, the universe, existence, space, however you should choose to describe it be it spiritually or mathematically. Love and Light. And if that just seems like some crazy hippy bullshit then you just haven't gotten there yet.

she loves us all... she loves everything... ive felt her from DMT and MXE ego death experiences before. shes the ultimate mother. the ultimate lover. absolution. the most immense embrace. the first time i smoked DMT i met her... i cant explain how that felt. it was like she had been waiting for me. sends shivers up my arms remembering bits of it. when i returned i was shocked, shaking, giggling. shook me to the fucking core. it was beyond a feeling... it was like undercovering the biggest secret everybody has ever wanted to know. every time i returned from the trips she was stood there with a message... "come back soon..." then she would kiss me goodbye and vanish
 
with smoking DMT theres not much to prepare yourself. yeah, prior psychedelic experience is nice, but its not a big help. the only rule i have for DMT is:
NEVER turn down DMT, when it is offered to you, you take it. if you have half an hour to spare, youll be perfectly sober, even if you have only 10 minutes thats enough time.
 
The only piece of advice i would offer is; do it on your own, people sitting around staring at you.. even talking is not only annoying but it can really anchor you from experiencing it's full potential. There's nothing worse then someone asking you a question while your slowly descending from the heavens and what there saying is so completely irrelevant and almost primitive in a sense to what your currently experiencing or just witnessed.
 
Indeed nothing can prepare you for it i tried DMT for the 1st time in july this year, before i start im not comparing these drugs but my 1st time taking Acid last year changed me and made me look apon life differently and appreciate things i normally wouldnt and when i say changed me i mean in a good way and as for DMT the same thing i was in a room with around 9 mates and only 2 had previously tried DMT and the rest of us were quite nervous and not knowing what to expect so we all did 1 after each other and the 2 mates who had tried it before watched over us all i remember inhaling the smoke and it had a hard burning sooth to it and a strong smell of the fart gas you use to get in cans when i was younger and within 5 seconds i felt the shadow of my body pressing down on me then bam i was away truly an amazing and head turning experience id love to sit here and explain the rest of the trip but id be lost for words or not no how to explain all i can say is that its was an exceptional 4-6 minutes of my life and im on 21years old. Defo worth taken man, id love to get my hands on some more i just mind being told at the time before taking it that it was an extortionate price for 1g but it obviously goes a long way in getting hits.
