So to put it bluntly I went on a 3 week binge of doing morphine and oxy. My sub test is this friday so saturday was my last morphine dose. On sunday night at 11pm I took 8mg of sub which I am prescribed. I had done opiates before and came back to sub, but this is the first time I have experienced this bad of precipitated withdrawal.

Last night was violent, throwing up, hives, I'm sure you get the picture. After thrashing around in the bed for hours I couldn't stand it and took a Xanax. Passed out (Thank God!)

Now today. I'm feeling a ton better but can't eat and I'm severely dehydrated now. Can I take another dose of suboxone or will it do this again? I'm really in a panick here, please help.

I would suggest not to use suboxone unless you are in withdrawl or you havent used any other opiate (other than sub) in at least 5 times its half life.

You took the sub yesterday. Therefore it is your system and you will not go into precipitated wd again.

However, as I am sure you would prefer to be on the safe side, what you can do is take the sub starting with 1 mg and if you have no issues from that (which you shouldn't), titrate up to whatever you need to stay out of wd. Or 8 mg--but most people really don't need that much. For future reference when returning to subs from a binge, don't take a whole 8 mg at once. Start small because if you would get precip wd, it's not nearly as bad....or as difficult to overcome...

But once you get the sub in your system and past that precip wd, it's on your receptors so you will be fine. The precip wd comes from the bupe ripping the full agonist opiate off your receptors

For me I wait until I'm in constant diarrhea phase then I know I'm safe to take it. I made the mistake of taking one eight hours after my last line, never again, worst feeling of my life, like a weeks worth of withdrawal in a couple hours. But yeah, once you're past the first precipitated withdrawal you're safe to take more, the other opiate is gone now, that's what caused the nightmare to begin with, the subs forcefully removed the other opiate from your receptors due to it's higher affinity.
