Opioids Precipitated Withdrawal -something weird going on

I have been on Suboxone of about 3 months --12mg a day. I took a little holiday with some OXY --about 6 days of fun and then I waited overnight and took the Sub the next morning. Boy, I have not had a fun time with it this time. Last time I did this, it was smooth sailing, right back on Sub for 3 months no problemo. This time I have no clue what happened. It was only about 12 hours after my last oxy, but I did take a bunch. Railed about 80mg, then about 4 hours later that night took all the little pieces left over ( all you hose clamp folks know exactly what i am talking about!) so probably about 160-180 for the whole day. I havent had to bad of symptoms, but its been about 48 hrs and I cant stop the sweats. When will this end. I go to my DR tomorrow for a rescript and I dont want to be sweating in the appt. he will flag me. My urine will be clean ( ) so i have no worries there, but if I sweat I guess I could just say that I am sick. can anyone explain --

It's withdrawal from taking bupe too soon after a rather large binge of full agonists. You can prevent precipitated withdrawal all together right after a week of heroin in about an hour. All you need to do is dose the bupe SLOWLY. Like take .1mg then wait and repeat until you are up to your desired suboxone dose.

I used that countless times and have never had precipitated withdrawal. Of course waiting is safest but this is easiest.

Thanks for the reply BUPE --so what you are saying is once I finish the "holiday" go to bed and then in the am or even the PM of the next day, take 1mg and wait a bit --till when? till I feel sweaty or something? what is going on with me right now? why sweats after almost 54hrs. Do I need to hammer about 16mg tomorrow when i get more --i feel ok, but need alcohol, etc and still i get the sweats --that it though

more bupe isn't gonna help. 12mg is already a really high dose. in my experience less bupe is more. i can take about 1mg a day and i'll be fine, and i used to be a pretty heavy heroin user. the trick is to slowly reintroduce it into your system so it doesn't put you into precipitated withdrawal. start with a really small dose, then wait like an hour, then take another small dose, and repeat until you start feeling better.

.1mg not 1mg it's like you are trying to get precipitated withdrawal.
