Bupe Precipated WDs from sub, used to get out of it, how long now? Question

Using heroin off and on but heavy (1g east coast powder) daily for the past month. Anyway, time to cut this shit out. Today I waited roughly 20-21 hours since my last shot and took 2mg subkingually. No real relief but nothing worse after 30 min or so

I then saw this as the green light and IVd about 1mg. This immediately threw me into precip WDs. Puking immediately sweating intense hit cold, much worse than what I was experiencing a few min earlier
Now I know it's the bupe not the naloxone that causes this, even IV, so please don't site that as the reason.

Basically my question is this- because I ran out the door and copped about ,6g of dope and did 2 shots of .3g about 45min later. Obviously I didn't get a rush or "high" just relief from the precips and a little bit of heavy dope eyes.


..I'm wondering if I will need to wait another full 24 hours now, or if some of the bupe will be on my receptors as they blocked the heroin (those shots without being on suboxone would have gotten me extremely high)?

My thinking is that I will need to wait about 24 more hours to be safe, but maybe the WD tomorrow won't be as bad as yesterday and the wait won't be too terrible because some of the bupe will be left on the receptors? Does this make sense

Any help greatly appreciated. So happy when I'm not using. Was amazingly happy and clean for 6 ,months. Now this. Ugh

Bupe probably blocked a pretty small amount of receptors. You will still have to wait a good while after your last shot, maybe an hour or two less than you should've originally. 24 hrs is just the rule of thumb, it can be anywhere from 15 to 48 hours, depending on your habit/dose/frequency, drug, and unique body chemistry. My personal rule of thumb is wait till youre at 90% withdrawals before taking, aka almost as bad as they get within the first 2 days of detox. Cuz this means there are Basically no opiates still in your receptors keeping you well

And I'm pretty darn sure it's the naloxone that does the precips

Thanks for the reply. You still get precips withs subutex which has no naloxone though.

Anyway I agree with waiting but do you think having the sub there even If it's just a bit (longer half life) will make the wait less terrible withdrawal wise than it was from heroin straight to the 21-22 hour mark? I'm thinking at least some sub remains which can ease the transition back onto sub and limit change of precips at the 24 hour mArk tomorrow when I redose

I too am on suboxone. After a long night of heroin use i try to go to sleep and stay asleep for as long as i can. i usually wait 18-24 hours to do my sub (IV). But even sometimes after 24hrs ill shoot my sub and then the next 30min are complete hell. Everythings spinning, im cold, my stomache is jumping around like a punk in a mosh pit, ect... but usually after 30min to an hour im fine and going on with the rest of my day. i would wait probably 24-36hrs as to not get precip wd. they suck.

I would use the COWS, and wait till i scored a 25 and never had an issue with precips.

Update. Waited 24 full hours after I shot .6g while in precipitated wds (went into them after waiting 21 hours from .3g shot)

I'm at work and figure 24 hour is long enough even though I didn't feel too bad (which was weird 24 hr normally and I'm toast) and I dosed 2mg intranasally. All good

15 min later that shiver. PW hit hard. No vomiting which is usually my first symptom in PW but all the rest. Sitting at my desk squeezing a pen dripping sweat Legs bouncing around. Took all my energy to not run out call the D boy and cure it.
It's now 45 min later and I feel better. Body temp has stabilized. Legs are jumpy and body is sore but that's what PW is all about. I'm gonna ride it out cause I need to quit this merry go round and a 10 day or so sub taper is the most manageable way. Using just makes this an option tomorrow and for 18+ more horrible hours.


As an aside I'd like to include that subs are tricky. I've maybe had 2 out of 20 good inductions on sub. Both last month at the beginning of my relapse. Doing maybe .4g a dyay for 2 weeks decided needed to stop. Waited 18 hours and dosed. Easy as pie. I was golden and feeling awesome on sub. This lulled me into thinking every transition there out would be the same. Nope, PW like always. I get them almost every time.

i make sure to wait until i feel like i am in precipitated withdrawals but only in regular withdrawal to take sub. so i usually make sure to take sub when i cant take it no more. when my withdrawals are so bad that i would suck dick to get some dope (i would not but thats how desperate i would be feeling) is when i take a sub. i have never IVd sub though.

for me, the transition from dope to sub still sucks but the 2nd day that i am on subs i feel 100% better than that 1st day.
