About 4 hours ago I took 5mg methadone and 5mg hydro to no effect. I partake in opiates about every couple weeks. If i was to take some suboxone would I have a problem? Last time I waited 24 hours and had no negative effects with the same dosage of methadone?

I don't think that this is true. As long as there are opiates on your receptors when you take suboxone, the bupe in suboxone will knock the opiates (methadone and hydrocodone in this case) off of the receptors causing precipitated withdrawal.

OP, why would you want to take suboxone 4 hours after taking methadone and hydrocodone?
 
Because that's all the done and hydro I had and it didn't do much. I enjoy bupe recreationally(1-2mg). I have to help my friend with his math and am more likely to do it when im high. Does anyone know for sure?

I've never been clear on this and would like to know (not that i'll ever be non-dependent haha). Never been entirely clear if the ripping away of opioids from receptors is enough on its own, or whether you actually have to be dependent. I think you probably do have to be dependent (in order to experience precipitated withdrawal) but I'm always up for the surprise horror story, too.

I think to someone non-dependent a hearty dose of bupe might well be more recreational than 5done + 5hydro. But fair enuf question, especially if one anticipates precipitated withdrawal!

p.s. I'm goin off 'done (~40-60mg/day for a couple months), back onto Suboxone within the next few days, and expect some precip wd soon (doubt I'll stay sick long enough, though I'll try).
 
It is true if your not addicted you wont have withdrawls. Think about it the only reason addicts withdrawl when the bupe is knocked off is that there are no opiates on the receptors thus they go into withdrawl. If you arent addiicted when the bupe knocks the done off he will be sober until the subs kick in. Its just like getting hit with narcan if your an addict you go into hellish withdrawl if your not an addict you just wake up like WTf.
 
The effects of buprenorphine dosing following full agonist dosing in terms of precipitated withdrawal will vary greatly from person to person. Everyone metabolizes drugs and excretes them in their own unique way. Also, I believe NO ONE has the same amount of opioid receptors. Certain people will get sick when only 25% of receptors are filled and others at maybe 70%! Since all of these factors vary so much between individuals, it is going to be quite difficult to really tell what would make you sick and what wouldnt. One thing i do know is that if you shoot alot of dope and take a dose of suboxone greater than, say, 4-6 mg before you are withdrawing (maybe less than 12-18 hours after the last shot), it will put you into withdrawal no matter what.
 
How long do precip. withdrawls from suboxone usually last? (If you've taken the dose of Bupe to close to your last opiate dose.)

5 minutes-6 hours depending on how physically addicted you are, how much opiates are in your system, how long you waited, and how much suboxone you took
 
After methadone, it is generally recommended you wait 72 hours....that's if you are addicted to opiates, meaning you get withdrawal symptoms upon cessation of opiates. Severity of precip wd. would also play into your tolerance.
