Didn't think this would bode well in OD/BDD.

Just ordered some, along with aniracetam and oxiracetam. I haven't heard of anyone using this stuff. It sounds absurdly strong to aniracetam even. Just wondering if any of you have tried it and what your take(s) on it are in comparison to the other more common racetams.

I've tried it two or three time and ended up flushing it. I found the best results from Oxiracetam. Both Aniracetam and Pramiracatam seem to effect me the same way in that they pretty much gave me brain fog and fatigue. It seems that if people respond well to those two they do not respond well to oxiracetam and the oppisite is true for those who respond well to oxiracetam. I found oxiracetam's effects to be beneficial but expect some insomnia if taken in the afternoon. Also I found the recommended dose of 800mg to be a bit much, I would try maybe 500 first. At higher doses I noticed that I felt "off", its slightly difficult to describe.

Ya, piracetam is great, but tends to be making me quite foggy lately, even lethargic.

I'm getting some oxi and prami in a few days, as well as ani. Have yet to use choline with any of them.

I'd like to hear what other people have to say on this though, as we all respond quite differently, no?

Ive been on ani for 6 days now with choline. I have social and general anxiety. I havnt felt this relaxed in a long time. There were a couple days where on the come down I did feel foggy and lethargic but that hasnt happened the last two days.

Good effects :
Anti-anxiety
Mood enhanced
Energy
Focus
Improved short term memory
Color enhancement
Vision seems sharper

Bad effects :
Foggy and tired on comedown
Slight headache

I killed the headache I had on day four with a tylenol. The comedown symptoms havnt showed up the last two days. So far its exceeded my expectations.

Is there any scientific publication stating the effects of piracetam & other nootropics on HEALTHY patients?

I am very skeptical as regards the positive nootropic effects some people are feeling, and I would even dare to say it's just placebo. On a double blind experiment you would not be able to discern between the piracetam or the placebo. None of you even gets noticeable and clear measurable effects.

I tested it out myself from doses ranging from 1,2g up to 2,4g two or three times a day for some weeks and I truly did not notice anything. These drugs are designed for people with cognitive problems. Healthy people will find very little improvement with them.

Just my two cents...

I dont have cognitive problems. Im a software engineer for a major financial company. Some people dont react to the racetams and some people only react to certain ones from what I have read. If youre looking for a buzz you arent going to find one. Thats not what theyre about.

I'm going to be cycling with all 4. Primiracetam works well on me, it will become my staple, but ya, it's A LOT more expensive than piracetam.

High hopes on this one for sure, as piracetam already does a fairly good job.

Sounds like great stuff. Helps Alzheimer's sufferers with their symptoms, amongst other things. Is there any chance of physical dependence?

Seems like there's evidence racetams can mitigate the effects of brain damage, whether it's caused by a neurodegenerative disease, or heavy drug use. So it seems like this class of drugs could be of use to a lot of bluelighters. Yesterday, I ordered some piracetam (the gold standard) and noopept (the strongest racetam widely available). I'll see how well they work for me, and write up a summary in a week or so.

As far as dependence, these substances don't seem to have any at all. They appear to be very benign.

i have been using piracetam for about 6 months now, when I need it. It was very useful to me when I was depressed this winter; gave me motivation, energy, focus, and a balanced mood - a high dose (or break through dose) is def recommended if you feel as though its not working. Taking your break through dose, maybe 4500-5000mgs, will give you "best day ever" syndrome. I get color enhancement and a zen like feeling of peace and contentment. Any dependency would be psychological, if any.

I'll have to try it again. I have boxes of piracetam that I never used. When I first tried it I thought there was some color enhancement, but that was about it.

My brain has more damage now, so maybe it will work better.

As I recall, I tried some ridiculous doses, at the time I was partying a lot which I do not do anymore.

How is the noopept for you?

I'm currently getting the most out of an aniracetam/oxiracetam + choline combo. I take various racetams daily now. Looking into noopept myself, as pramiracetam seems to really be lacking in punch for me.
