I was wondering, if I were to buy supposedly "pure" powdered MDMA, would it be easy, or even possible to tell if the powder had contaminants or other chems aside from MDMA? The powder is mostly MDMA, I'm sure. But is it possible to tell if it has been cut? I'm assuming the answer is no.

And would it be possible to separate out any MDA (or other random chems) from the MDMA in any way?
 
With fine powder, "cutting" contents is unfortunately easy- it's foolish to contaminate quality MDMA with something that would genuinely take away from the experience, in most cases if it's testing MDxx positive (this simply means it contains MDMA, not that it is the only active ingredient) it's not worth it to add something unpleasant to the mixture.

MDA is quite sought after, and it's value is similar if not higher than MDMA- you can reagent test to check for MDMA too. I would be more concerned with unwanted common (I'm assuming) adulterants such as piperazine, speed, or DXM.

To my knowledge there is no way to determine if it has been cut with inactives. The experience per weighed milligram will likely give you an idea, but I am not aware of a way with home testing to determine how much of your stuff is active material.
 
Great, thanks for the responses. My friend has assured me that people he knows have been rolling pretty hard off 100mgs and loved it, so I'm fairly confident its not cut with bk-MDMA or people probably wouldn't be having great experiences off doses on the low end (right?). And I'm sure they'd know the difference between MDMA and other psychedelic RC's. My main concern I guess was that it would be cut with something that felt like MDMA but wasn't.. But I guess I'm just being overly-cautious.

Try get it in crystal form next time as it would be harder to cut.
 
Despite what people claim, bk-MDMA can even fool very experienced users (especially when mixed with MDMA).

I would absolutely test if you could, but if you're going based on trusted friends experience and they were rolling hard at 100 mgs- I'd relax and enjoy the experience if you know you want to consume it and have a good time.
 
BK-MDMA is basically just a beta-keto version of MDMA, or, a weaker version of it.


It often been described as "MDMA lite" or MDMA without the magic, and is probably the MAIN drug other than MDMA being sold as molly today.


There are more and more RCs being sold as molly these days, look on Ecstasy Data, the number of capsules with unknown contents is getting out of hand..
 
So does this bk-MDMA even fool the test kits? Does it turn the regent tests black also? I recently got some Molly that tests about as good as anything I have ever tested but still am unsure how pure it is. I'm encouraged by the test results though-- just a very tiny amount, barely even visible will turn my marquis drop black almost instantly.

the first and only time i tried "molly" it was definitely not MDMA....i can only guess methylone, but who knows.


the word "molly" in general pisses me off. people don't understand how language is just a system of representation. THE WORD IS NOT THE THING. being called "molly" does. not. mean. shit... -_-
 
The point is that pills are generally more likely to be cut with crap than plain powder. You know the exact weight of what you're taking, and if you're rolling off 100mg, then its probably almost completely pure.

But you're right, the name means almost nothing.

Nope, methlone is a substituted cathinone, and those will turn the marquis a bright almost neon yellow
 
does the mecke test on some molly powder refelect positive results if with 1 drop of mecke on a small amount goes almost instantly to dark dark what seems black after looking dark blue green really fast ? opinions?
 
Umm well what are we supposed to call it then? I mean when u ask for molly u expect to get molly when u ask for pills ur supposed to get pills. Its the same thing when people say they're rolling and they took pipes.

I got molly last month in which the seller genuinely thought was MDMA. It tested as methylone and he was surprised when I sent him the pic.

Definitely get an adulterant test. Methylone looks very different from MDMA, it's turns neon yellow instead of black/purple. Either the mecke or marquis started off yellow and settled into a kind of orange, sorry I can't remember which. But it's very obvious.

By the way, a green-to-black is not the same as strait to black. For Marquis, that means 2C-I. Check Erowid for more info.

Oh sorry, mecke will go from blue to black for MDMA. But the only way to confirm is if Simon's turns blue. Else it's MDA.
 
So some of the best molly ive gotten was always in powder. not sure why, but i think ONLY one time i had crystal and it was actually stronger. i used to get powdered stuff they told us to cut (because they didnt) and some people couldnt take the high... i ended up giving out half points for ten dollars. (people were more then satisfied

truth is bk-mdma is nothing like the high of actual molly.. BK requires higher doses and has way less of a body high/euphoria. every time i have done bk mdma i would have to start clenching onto fabric to feel the high, but when i stood still it was pretty much non existent.


BUT if you are getting the full effects at 100 mg then dont even worry about it. Chances are its cut with something anyways (when molly is made properly you should only need about 10 mg to get a full trip, just a bump, but most of the stuff that goes around isnt that quality and you need between 75-150 mg... anything more and its not real (or cut), but if you are trippin of 100 mg, DONT WORRY=BE HAPPY)... Taste a little bit. it shoould take a second before you actually can taste the bitterness/sourness of molly, any cuts will have a distinct taste other then the molly
 
I'm in the UK and if someone tried to sell me `molly`, ie a fine white powder I think I'd laugh in their face. Sure, big crystals are nice but a lot of the good vendors use very discrete packing methods which often means that it's a combination of lot's of small crystals. It still doesn't come close to looking like a powder though. The only time I've ever seen fine powder is at a house party when half the gram I brought with me for a friend was crushed so it could be snorted. Damn coke fiends, I almost snorted a line thinking it was coke when I saw it was going free.

if 10mg gives you a 'full experience' then it's definitely not MDMA.

10mg of MDMA isn't even gunna raise a hair on my ball sack let alone give me a 'trip.'

recommended dosages of 100-120mg are for pure MDMA HCI salt, which, without raising debate over purity again, is the most pure form of MDMA edible and accessible.
