powder color- need info

I got some powder last week that i was told had came from Holland and the dude i got it off is quite reliable so i trusted his judgement of its origin. The thing being that the powder was light brown in color and it had a few darker brown specks through it. It was also in rock form each rock about this size

The effects were exactly what MDMA should be like, that is very lovey, and i could either get up and dance all night long or i could sit on the ground and smile at the passers by all night.
Here's the deal right!! Every other time i have had powder it has been white and fluffy. This powder other than the fact this was chocolate brown and when crushed up seemed like it had a kinda "wet" look to it but wasnt wet at all. Also i crushed up bout 1/2 a gram and put it in caps with what i estimated was about a point in each cap, expecting it to be quite strong ( it tastesd like absolute shit!! MMM). Yet after popping 2-3 caps nothing occured. Only after about 4 did the effects hit me and they were real nice. There was absolutly no come down at all and i was able to continue munching all night long.
Now the problem i am having is that is there any difference between white powder and this brown stuff i got. I have also had other brown powder like stuff before called MDMA "paste" also from Holland (different guy though) yet it had a more wet look to it. Can anyone that knows the "REAL" answer help me out as eveyone i ask seems to say different things, like the brown powder is impure or the white powder is cut ect..

just like there's a thousand recipes for meth/speed there's a few hundred for MDMA, each gives a slightly different result...
basically i think you have some MDMA that was manufactured in less than sterile conditions with less than exacting precursors...
apparently this stuff does the job for you, but it seems extremely weak... 100mg of pure MDMA is the usual threshold dose, having to take 4 grams doesnt say too much for it, i hope you didn't pay too much for it

I think he said a point in each cap, so four caps for 400mg... maybe it's just dilute/cut mdma powder. The fact that it came in fairly large crystals may say something about the state of purity, or the presence of a contaminant from a different branch of the same chemical family? (Biscuit would probably be able to inform on that one).

I recently acquired MDMA powder as you described. 1 rock as big as a

but the other stuff looked exactly like sand.
When I put a crystal in my mouth, i was like 'hmm no taste' but 10 seconds later i had the strongest MDMA taste ever, the back of my throat felt like I had just snorted a whole pill in one line (i have never done this, but I imagine the taste of the powder and the snort would be similiar)
In an EZ test, it bubbled, smoked and then turned black. Haven't taken this yet, and probably won't for a while, saving it for something really special, ie a night at home with someone special.
Might be holding on to this shit for a few years i spose, hehe.
 
E-Z Test bubbled and smoked and THEN turned black? errr isn't that the reaction for dxm?
quick reaction to darkpurple indicates an XTC like substance
reaction to yellow/green indicates a 2CB like substance
reaction to orange/brown indicates a SPEED like substance
smoke at first, then slowly to darkgrey/black indicates DXM
I'd be careful with this stuff crazy and especially I wouldn't recommend mixing with a different e etc...

you described the taste exactly what it is like and when crushed the texture is very similar to sand. Yet in regards to the ez test, guide doc supplied and your results it sounds like we may have different stuff. The powder that i had is deffinatly MDMA when the effects hit it felt 100% like it should have. I dont know maby i just have a real high tollerence or something.

the powder i got earlier this year was a light brown powder. My caps were about 1/4 full.
And didn't they hit the spot! They were extremely clean, sometimes you didn't know you were pilling. But they were fucking incredible, smooth, luvved up, can dance or just sit down and babble.
Mine went instantaneously to black, with a tiny puff of smoke. Definite pure MDMA reaction........
yours sounds like the real deal as well...
 
there is a bit of controversy over the DXM reaction at the moment. read this thread in the ez-test forum

please remember that the marquis reagent used in ez-test was never designed to test for DXM. the slow grey/smoke reaction was just a lucky coincidence and has helped tremendously in spotting some pills.
but straight to black with bubbles is still a classic pure MDMA reaction. there is little reason to worry. if you are in any doubt then take a small part of the powder. a little bit will do you no harm, and you wil soon work out what it is. also keep in mind that DXM is not a poison, it is simply another drug that should not be confused, or mixed with, MDMA. many, many people use it by itself as a recreational drug.
 
Horse, no you haven't told me how special you are to me, but that wasn't exactly what I had in mind, if you know what I mean! hehe, ya make me laugh.
Anyway, JB, pinger, cyber, doc, thanks for the advice. I've taken it all into consideration, and have decided NOT to put some of the powder into 'crazy australian' caps (2nd batch), incase of a DXM/MDMA bad reaction... This shit sure tastes like MDMA but better to be safe then sorry, will try a bit to test it...
