Opioids Potentiating with Chlorpromazine

I've just got a pretty simple question; one I can't answer myself (and not for lack of trying). I'm wondering if chlorpromazine, the anti-psychotic, can be used to potentiate opiates (specifically hydromorphone). I understand it is a CNS-depressent, but I worry that because of its specific action in the brain that it might decrease euphoria/pleasure; only increasing sedation.

Does anyone have experience with this? Does anyone know for sure, or have done it themselves?

I've read contradictory reports, although I'm quite sure the sedation would be potentiated. Thanks, folks.

Not sure, I wouldn't risk it. I'd probably just try something else instead.

I have been thinking of using trifluoperazine though to potentiate opioids, as in mice it has been shown to reverse tolerance. It's from the same class as chlorpromazine, so same side effects (nasty) but maybe could have similar effects on opioids.

I've also read a number of reports suggesting that addicts who use chlorpromazine experience significantly less withdrawal symptoms, in quantity, qualia, and length.

I've tried using low (25-50mg) doses of this anti-psychotic and I may have experienced some slight potentiation, but I can't be sure.

i know IME haloperidol potentiates opiates so chlorpromazine might also.
