Due to my very recent voyage into the world of heroin and my age(16), my tolerance is still pretty low. I have, however, used opiates/oids in the past relatively extensively- namely the codones and morphones. Not being a pharmacologist, I have a very limited understanding of the mechanisms these drugs employ. My only question here is this: would a few tylenol #3s twenty minutes or so before some insufflated heroin potentiate/synergize nicely and safely? I thank you all very much in advance!

I don't believe in god, and this sounds cliche - but i will pray for you. Don't ruin your life.

On a related note, i use codeine to potentiate Dihydrocodiene. Never done heroin so don't know if it would work the same.

I really do appreciate the first replier's concern, however, I would be really interested to hear from someone who has first hand experience with this combination. Anyone?

Yup, it will work. IMHO Tagamet works MUCH better as a potentiater though, especially when you throw a little diphenhydramine in the mix (and both of those are OTC).

The t3's won't hurt at all, and they will make your buzz a bit stronger. Go for it, if that's your desire.

Most opioids synergize fairly well as long as you keep an eye on the dosage.

Codeine is found alongside morphine in natural opium and people take that all the time with no ill effect.

Codeine and Heroin sounds like a very itchy combination.

OP, you're still a child, put the drugs down before they become your life, but I'm guessing it's too late already... =\

^yup, let the child be....

Song of Childhood
By Peter Handke

When the child was a child
It walked with its arms swinging,
wanted the brook to be a river,
the river to be a torrent,
and this puddle to be the sea.

When the child was a child,
it didn’t know that it was a child,
everything was soulful,
and all souls were one.

When the child was a child,
it had no opinion about anything,
had no habits,
it often sat cross-legged,
took off running,
had a cowlick in its hair,
and made no faces when photographed.

When the child was a child,
It was the time for these questions:
Why am I me, and why not you?
Why am I here, and why not there?
When did time begin, and where does space end?
Is life under the sun not just a dream?
Is what I see and hear and smell
not just an illusion of a world before the world?
Given the facts of evil and people.
does evil really exist?
How can it be that I, who I am,
didn’t exist before I came to be,
and that, someday, I, who I am,
will no longer be who I am?

When the child was a child,
It choked on spinach, on peas, on rice pudding,
and on steamed cauliflower,
and eats all of those now, and not just because it has to.

When the child was a child,
it awoke once in a strange bed,
and now does so again and again.
Many people, then, seemed beautiful,
and now only a few do, by sheer luck.

It had visualized a clear image of Paradise,
and now can at most guess,
could not conceive of nothingness,
and shudders today at the thought.

When the child was a child,
It played with enthusiasm,
and, now, has just as much excitement as then,
but only when it concerns its work.

When the child was a child,
It was enough for it to eat an apple, … bread,
And so it is even now.

When the child was a child,
Berries filled its hand as only berries do,
and do even now,
Fresh walnuts made its tongue raw,
and do even now,
it had, on every mountaintop,
the longing for a higher mountain yet,
and in every city,
the longing for an even greater city,
and that is still so,
It reached for cherries in topmost branches of trees
with an elation it still has today,
has a shyness in front of strangers,
and has that even now.
It awaited the first snow,
And waits that way even now.

When the child was a child,
It threw a stick like a lance against a tree,
And it quivers there still today.

[sorry mods. I'll never do that gain. this thread is dead.]

This post made me cringe a bit too- reminds me of myself at 16, and I completed my 7th form exams while addicted to opiates/muscle relaxants. But on the other hand I'm surprised at the amount of judgement present on this thread that is adscent from mid-20s-30s tasking for tips IV'ing the stupidest of stupid shit. I smell the sweet shitty smell of hypocracy.

Now, my (actual) advice:

Codiene is a good drug to abuse if you're opiate naive (as you said you are)- when I first started playing with opiates (like 13) I used codeine almost exclusively. However, codeine has a ceiling-dose (if you take more it does nothing as your body is digesting as much codeine as it physically can) of around 300-450mg depending on your metabolism. You will build a tolerance regardless of whether or not you become addicted- I 'succesfully' abused opiates for years without getting physically dependent and I still built up a gorilla of a tolerance.

So basically my advice is that until your tolerance gets to the point that you no longer get any high (just a lot of itching) from taking a ceiling dose of codeine you shouldn't be fucking around with heroin. Heroin is a different animal because it's so variably cut (and often cuts badly so there are 'hotspots' of highly pure heroin in amongst the bullshit) and it's so much stronger than codeine. If you can get high off codiene, heroin is going to fuck you up- you're probably going to throw up a couple of times and you'll probably experience intense itchiness and nausea. Take some antihistamines.

And to simply answer your question- yes, however remember than codeine is metabolised into morphine much slower than heroin, so be careful with your timing- make absolutely sure that you're fully feeling the codeine before you take anything, heroin, whatever on top. Even if you don't do yourself any harm taking too much will simply make you fall asleep for 10-18 hours, which isn't necessarily the most fun thing to do while high on opiates ;).

Take care and be careful. You are responsible for your own actions and their consequences, both good and bad. Always aim for the good consequences- whether that be having a really great night smashed to avoiding the addiction in the long run. No reason you can't do both- if you play your cards right.

Peace and love brother.
