Potentiating codeine with GFJ/tums?

I know it works for other opiates, but i'm not sure about codeine. After googling both, I found out that tums works for codeine too, but i've found mixed answers for GFJ. Half the sources say it does potentiate it, and the other half say it makes it weaker. Which is it?
