Im 27 years old, have been using drugs on and off for 10 years, mostly weed and a long stint of dxm abuse for about 4 years. In recent times i just got out of rehab last year after spending 8months. Came out and relapsed after a few months on cough syrup which led me to move back to my fathers house where i now reside. MY QUESTION/CONCERN IS, for the past few months on and off i will get "spells" of not having and apatite and when i would finally succumb to my stomach discomfort from not eating i would eat something easy like a yogurt or soup. Has this ever happened to anyone here? A buddy of mine that was in the sober house with me told me he had fucked up his stomach somehow from taking too many pills and he would need to take i think promethazine for him to be able to consume food. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated! BTW i just wanted to clarify, the stomach discomfort i feel is the only way for me to know what im hungry, also that i feel tired and weak from not eating. IMO the stomach discomfort is not a normal way for your body to tell your brain you need food, you should have a build in mechanism that tells you before your stomach starts churning, called and apatite, obviously. Also smoking weed does not help.

Lots of drugs interfere with appetite the only thing you can do is force yourself to eat. After sometime that pain will change to hunger. If you starve yourself for a while you stop getting hungry and experience what you are now, at least in my personal experience.
