Sorry if this is against board guidelines, but anyways I found PhreeX's Methcathinone Synthesis and found about everything except the Potassium Permaganate. Sears said they don't carry it anymore and I've tried Home Depot, Lowes, Walgreens, and Walmart with no luck. I was thinking trying pool stores and maybe a local hardware shop tomarrow, but does anyone know any other major chains that happen to carry it or know what type of store I could pick some up at?
 
Are you sure? It comes in a light blue bottle that looks like it would contain vitamins - it's next to the water softeners.
 
Chances are, Mr. Minimum Wage Hardware Store guy doesn't know what the hell you're talking about... just look on your own, or you'll be directed to a big bag of KCl.
Oh, and don't say you're making drugs. You at least could have said you're mixing it with glycerin so it'll create a powerful incendiary device.
 
Oh ya another question: I went through some of my hot tub chemical crap and found something that says it contains hcl (only thing listed) would this work instead of the muriatic acid? Or should I just go and buy some of the muriatic acid?
 
Potassium permanganate, I used to have some of that stuff. Really neat as a dye. The easiest place to get some is in an aggreculture supply place. Farmers put it in their irregation systems when they think they have a leak. It only takes a tiny bit to dye a shit load of water dark purple. They can then find the leak by the purple stained pipe. Also, barring that, I think you can also find it in snake bite kits, but I don't remember where I heard that, so it might not be reliable.
 
Yeah, the Hcl stuff will work. The Muriatic acid I have is 31.48% hydrochloric acid, the rest is "inert ingredients", which I can only assume to be heroin.
If the acid you're buying is substantially weaker or stronger, adjust accordingly.
 
While a tiny bit WILL turn shit purple (and it doesnt go away) it's used to remove iron from water (I believe thats correct) ... it's not sold in ALL AREAS because some places simply don't have water that warrants it.... god, I remember writing that synth many yearss ago - and if you found it then you would see I included the catalog # for it in there - you can have any sears order it - a lot of people said they can't find it locally, but I am fairly certin that Sears still carries it (in a blue and white bottle) - if not just open the phone book and start calling Home and Garden supply places, as well as water treetment places.. if it comes down to it, look under "chemical suppliers" - but if you have to go as far as looking toward a chemical supplier, don't even fuck with this route, for there is a much better way to make it (the idea behind the KMnO4 for the synth was that it was 100% OTC, required no lab equiptment or even so much as a heat source... but lets not get into drug chemistry talk - also, if you follow that recipe as it's written, you will end up with a goo that you will have to wash multiple times, even then you wont have crunchy, clear crystals ... in response to a million emails I was getting, I re-wrote it (as a .html web page and modifed it in anumber of ways (still OTC with no sopecial equiptment, just more accurate with sexy crystals after one wash) ...
