Here is the most efficient way to consume your cannabis so that nothing goes to waste:
Buy a vaporizer, or make one. They are more simple than you might think. You can make a decent vape with a glass test tube, tissue paper, and a bit of rubber or vinyl hosing:
Place ground cannabis in the test tube, wrap tissue paper around one end of the 1/4" rubber hosing to form a "stopper". Shove the wrapped end into the end of the test tube and twist so it seals up good. Light the test tube from the bottom with a normal lighter, make sure to keep the test tube moving and try to avoid hitting the glass directly with the flame. Suck on the tube as you heat the bottom and watch the vapor - this will take some practice to avoid overheating the weed and burning it more than vaporizing it. When you are done vaporizing it should be a light toasted brown, not dark brown or black.
Save your post-vape cannabis and make cannabutter with it. The vaporized weed tends to make the butter taste kinda like butter-scotch. Yum! You can also add your stems to the butter. Or......
Get yourself a good quality herb grinder with a kief screen (not a bad idea anyway, it will make your vape work much better) or a re-usable gold coffee filter (also not a bad idea - for coffee). If you have a grinder, just grind up your stems and shake the living hell outta them. Open up your kief compartment, you should have a good bit! Toss the broken up stems in your butter. If you are using a metal coffee filter, just break up the stems as best you can and shake them over a piece of paper to catch the kief. This works considerably better with high grade cannabis. Pro tip: Cone shaped re-usable coffee filters have more surface area and are easier to use to collect kief. They also make better coffee.
