Not really sure which forum to post this question in, but it just kinda's been on my mind recently.
I was just wondering how realistically and potentially dangerous to one's legal status, and professional and personal reputation, could posting here be?

I've been kinda thinking lately that it's probably wise to only post that which you wouldn't mind a scathing article coming out about you and your history of fucking around with whatever mind altering thrill that comes your way, not that everyone here does that or talks about it in an overly personal and specific way, but, for a potential high profile individual, or a person applying for a high profile job etc., who may happen to enjoy posting here, does the amount of attention this site receives from law enforcement, and other non-friendlies(if you will) to the cause of harm reduction, in any way jeopardize the fine quality of life that we all strive so hard to achieve, and happen to correspond about over the intertubes*?

So yeah, there's that topic idea. Talk amongst yourselves, I'm getting my second pot of coffee for the day.

*That is in no way like a flatbed truck

Depends what you want to do professionally, I suppose. If you were to make a foray into the level of politics where mudslinging is common, then you'd pretty well be fucked if someone found the connection between your BL persona and your IRL identity. Unfortunately, most people either haven't heard of HR, or haven't figured out the distinction between it and pushing crack on schoolyard kids. Black/white thinking makes baby Buddha cry :(

For most people though, I don't know that there would be a problem. I'm a professional chemist, and have told colleagues (mind you, not people at my professional association) that I'm involved in HR, and have had no issues. Now if I were ever caught selling or manufacturing, I'd be right properly fucked from a professional standpoint.

We've had threads about the dangers of posting too much info here, I'll find it and merge. :)

actually, it seems to be about facebook. I'm going to make your title clearer and it should be fine :)

Yeah I read a thread I think in support about people's worries of posting on here and having it come back to bite them. I dont have the link, but they basically stated it's really hard for an outside source to get any sort of info on who the people on this site actually are. Also I think it was mentioned that this site has never been subpoenaed to ever give out any sort of user info. You should be pretty safe

As long as you don't openly divulge your name, location, personal photo's, etc... You should be absolutely fine unless you are applying for a Gov't / Political job (heh for example, if you are a member of the Secret Service, you might not wanna be posting here ;)).

just pay attention to what you post and don't post identifying details.

No one who is any one gives too shits what I do in my private life, as long as I am at my best at my job. Not every one who is on BL is a degenerate drug abuser. Some of us are just experience connoisseurs of life.

Reminds me of Charlie Wilson =D.

I run myself with regard to my 'job' so my BL useage is neither here nor there.
