hehe check this one out i made while on MXE this morning:
master class http://www.reverbnation.com/phorzeine/song/19958744-master-class and
Dying Jazz http://www.reverbnation.com/phorzeine/song/19988962-dying-jazz (not mixed yet or eqed) and another (MXE creativity)
U Don't Understand http://www.reverbnation.com/phorzeine/song/19974498-u-dont-understand
i mostly mix by ear but its so much damn work compressing and eqing every single sound when u have 20 different ones lol
i'm not an expert but i know most of the tricks for drums but when i am high i just do whatever sounds best (usually have to fix it when i am sober tho lol). i always double track when i use reverb most producers do not like things wet anymore for some reason, i always thought that was a cool trick for bass sounds like a bass drum. So one track is normal then the other has reverb but just turned down so its subtle
id shoot myself if i had to play live as id lose control over all that fun stuff

i'd just hit play on a wave file lol
@the peaker: funny story about ur dog lol i love getting that messed up; ill check those tracks out later today
^ugh @ pros messin up reverb and recording through a monitor i mic any live instrument; it's the only way
here's some quick mixing tips i jacked from somewhere a while ago lol:
Bass Drum EQ:
Band 1: +6dB at 55Hz
Band 2: -9dB at 275Hz (narrow)
Band 3: +7dB at 3.7kHz
Band 4: +8dB at 6.2kHz shelf
Bass Drum Compression:
Ratio: 3:1 or 4:1
Attack: 4ms
Release: 200ms
Threshold: adjust for about 3-6dB gain reduction
More “in your face” kick drum compression
Ratio: 6:1
Attack: 3ms
Release: 200ms
Threshold: adjust for about 8-10dB gain reduction
and if anyone wants me to send them some of the best samples you'll ever hear just pm me
@peaker:
disco bees - god damn nice intro, sounds are amazing, bass drums mixed very well and punchy; sweet guitar melody and nice crashes to get drums going. You almost have this Ott like quality to your songs that is amazing. You are really fucking good man. I love this song. Nothing i could do to make it better IMO except adding funny vocals to it

also love that siren and then hitting the melody hard half way through! (around 1:30) You are creative as fuck man. I think the track could hit harder if you get it mastered by a pro tho and it would make it really pop. I think it's missing some mids somewhere but i can't really tell and a bit of highs when it flanges on the melody. Had to listen to this one a few times. really really like it.
cracker - intro drags a bit; nice bubbling sounds tho love that shit, mixed well but drums are too far back in the mix especially the snares and hats. Need to eq that to bring it out a bit more. Overall it lacks that flare from not being eq'd and mixed but the ideas and sounds are definitely good. Do you play live or anything? people need to hear your work. At 1:48 it really gets going but it should hit like that the whole time. My advice: more punchy mixing.
Off the Leash - again super interesting intro; love that typing sound and those voices in the back. What synth are you using there it's fucking awesome? The main theme is so damn good, should be in a blockbuster movie for sure. I can't even critique this one, you killed it hard. Nice work. This has to be the best song i have heard from you, seriously impressed jesus christ. I'm gonna throw most of ur songs on my mp3 player for my car.
Now for Siccness:
voice is too loud lower by like 5dB - not bad rapping but your mix is off by a lot easy fix though. I would love to get your voice on one of my beats. Do you collab much? if you send me a vocal track i'll show u some real magic

nice vocal recording quality tho what mic are you using? sm-57? Listened to your other stuff i think we could really put some great shit together if you wanted. i have another vocalist as well (opium on here) and he is great. The two of you on a track would be fucking sweet. We should do a test run on a cover song or something i have some great ideas already.
here is a sample of opium rapping on my stuff:
