⫸STICKY⫷ Post your Recordings - Lets hear em, Kid.mp3

One of my BL buddies mentioned this thread to me a couple months back, but i was deep into my twice weekly open mic schedule and all caught up in acoustic stuff. I'm actually poised right now for another open mic blitz after taking a couple of months to put the pieces together and work on other new stuff. Here's a couple of tracks from my current electric project / band in the making. I believe the best way to understand a person is through their art so i'ts great to finally get something on here. I've heard some really cool stuff already and I've only just started listening to this thread earlier on tonight!

Anyway, here's a tune I been working on lately, its real rough but I'm feeling pretty good about it at this stage. Any comments most definitely welcome.

another one i'm sort of fairly a happy with is So Glow. Very edgey. Maybe my darkest track even. I tried to get it as raw as I could, was up for fucking days and days recording this one. I play everything myself on these recordings btw. Programming the beats was hardest for me as I knew nothing about drums when I started writing my own stuff around 2 years ago now. That was after leaving a band i'd been with for like 15 years, so that's 14 years ago now. In truth, the last show we did was about 6 years ago, atleast. I was more like a session guitarist anyway, which was fine back then as i had other stuff that was more important to me than music at the time. In the end though i realised i just had to get writing, to express myself. Its been building for too long. The band, S.W.A.R.M, is still only me officially, though i been working with a drummer for a good 3 months or so now. He can be hard work at times, but his musical contribution makes it worth while. He's a real old school heavy hitter who couldn't play out of time if he tried, and at the end of the day, i wanna get doing some live shows again within a year or so. In the meantime I just been floating around the open mic acoustic scene trying to get my voice together, having never even sung backing vocals in my old band.

Thanks man that was a web cam, believe or not I am not tech savy. I wish there was an easy way to get your music on the internet. Your comments are appreciated doing an open mic night wed. nervous as shit. I fucked it up last week b/c I ate a bar then had way to many drinks and then the roxy came around. I couldnt feel my prick much less my guitar and made a supreme ass out of myself. I am going to try it relatively sober this time :)

Go For Launch - Frequency Change

Here's my bands full album, if anyone is interested/has some time to kill.
It's Rock with jazz/prog/pop/groove type influences.

Any feedback, positive or negative would be greatly appreciated. I do a lot of the composition, rhythm guitar, all of the backing vocals and occasionally trade off with leads.

Wrote a verse about heroin addiction/withdrawals

always been into writing poetry but rarely tried to rap until now. Would appreciate it if you guys could let me know what you think of it. Lyrics in the description.

To me this cuts so straight, at so many places, it hits so damn hard.. on the money head with opiat addiction.. waking on disgusting sheets to the skin burn of withdrawal.. "never seem to live in peace but i'm craving a rest" just might sum up addiction .. nice work .. if anything belt out that truth just a sliver more,,,

I like it so far=D
