littleone: OMG you're posting pics of one of the freakin CLONES ;)

endlesseulogy: I think you need to take a sharp knife out when harvesting, it looks to me that you have some mycelium on the bottom of those shrooms and harvesting that way can damage the mycelium network. This will mean poorer harvests in subsequent years.
 
^^ I use some of the myc in other areas.. i dont believe this is true either. Mycelium is a fungus, put it back in the ground and it all will re-attach itself.. Fungus is crazy.. It follows no rules.
 
If you want to spread them do some spore prints and spread that way. I realise that they mycelium will grow elsewhere but you are causing some damage to the patch that you pick from and unless that patch is on your land, then other people might want to make use of that patch as well, therefore you're affecting their picks.

There's a good comment here from a girl who just happens to be a fairly good biologist/botanist :) and it sums up my feelings on harvesting techniques.

I leave all the pins behind.. i refuse to take them.. I also go around at the end of the season with a water gun full of spore material to spawn other patches. I think i do my bit for the good ol'mushroom karma... =D

Taking a few mushrooms with a little bit of myc at the end of them isnt going change much. You should see the size of this patch! there is about 2 - 10meter by 4 meter patches in this particular area.. all full of sub mycelium.. My mushroom expert would disagree with the post made in your link.. but its mushroom picking, hardly an exact science.. Thanks for your advice! cheers mate! :)

But its just like certain foods ... you dont know if you like it or not till you try it...

Drop some cid, and suck down a nang .... see if you can say you dont like it then!

As far as im concerned.... cid and nangs were made for eachother.

Me = Hair model.
My hairdresser asked me to be his doll for the night, and he could do what ever he liked...

Here is the result! Yay for red hair, i've been wanting fun reddy hair for a long tiome now. The cut is pretty much the same, we just took a bit more off the top, and one side. It's still a work in progress, but the bulk of i is done.

I get to parade too. >.<
