So, I rolled 375mg total 10 days ago. It was the fourth time I've ever done it, but all 4 times were within a month's period. After this time, however, during which I may have gotten minor serotonin syndrome (took tryptophan during the comedown...), I've felt an atypical depression including crying spells and amotivation. Now, as a creative type who has lived with depression his whole life and somewhat transcended it through love and metal music, even this is too much for me. I feel like I got a sort of brain damage. Even my daily meditation efforts seem to be in vain.

Let me say that I exercise regularly and follow a strict paleo diet.

Today, I gave in to my distrust of SSRI's and anti-depressants and started Kira extract of St. John's Wort, and already I feel a bit better after 2 pills of it. However, my question is... would SJW, as it sensitizes 5HT receptors, antagonize the 'recovery' of my serotonin system? I also have felt mentally flat... dumbed down and not feeling the oxytocin feelings I've had all before the incident towards a certain female, and through that, life in general.
I also have taken Lion's Mane since the incident to induce neurogenesis. Would piracetam (which has caused me depression in the past) help? Could I even invest in noopept...? Would that alleviate the symptoms, though have no effect of recovery of the serotonin system?

Basically, I'm asking whether these things I'm doing are not allowing my system to recover on its own accord.

This is my first post in these forums! Thanks, everyone!

Some people love supplements to deal with the mess, I say just keep eating healthy with exercise and just ride it out.

I'm just coming out of my experience and it took me 6 months. Still not 100% but better enough to almost say that it's all behind me.

if you took tryptophan and real mdma, you would most likely not get serotonin syndrome, since mdma inhibits the enzyme that turns tryptophan into 5-htp (which then gets turned into serotonin).
4 times in a month is 3 times too many. you should take a break for 3-6 months at least, eat healthy, exercise, and eventually ween yourself off your antidepressants (if you want to roll again). lions mane is really good, and if you want to mess with nootripics, maybe try provigil to start with? also, you might consider phenibut, i hear a lot of good things about it.
as always, do your own research first, and space your rolls at least one month apart to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. hope you feel better

Just make sure you don't take any more Mdma man. Then you'll be fine. After being a frequent user of it for a short while (about 30 times in a year a few years ago) you couldn't pay me to take it now.

If you want to speed up the healing process you could try preparing your own healthy home prepared meals 3 times a day and cutting out fast food/unhealthy snacks if you don't do that already. And drinking a lot of filtered water. You could try working out too if you arn't already into that. Alcohol is the absolute worst and will leach your body of important nutrients needed for healing. Vaporizing weed all day while never coming down helps keep me sane, moderate my mood swings, and deal with all the extra effort and dedication when living an active, healing focussed lifestyle.
