For around 8 months I abused mdma and pills quite harshly, once a week, and sometimes twice. I started to develop aniexty the day after and weeks following until it got too severe, sudical thoughts, affecting my everyday life. I quit rolling and haven't dropped in about 3 months. I have two questions, one was it mdma that caused this? Or the speed, ect found in pills. Second question is what rect party drugs would be best to be taken without the risk of increasing the aniexty? Thanks.

G'day mate,

If anything I'd say the continuous use of MDMA caused your problems here rather than some amphetamines or other chemicals, not that they would have helped but I think if you were rolling once or twice a week, the problem would be lying with MDMA.

You should only really roll once a month, it's good that you've been off for three months though, that's a great effort to go from weekly to a few months sober, keep up the good work.

No party drugs will lessen your chances of your anxiety increasing, if anything they are only likely to develop more to the problem, IME.

Give it some time before using again, but there's no problem with using once in a blue moon if you absolutely have to. Don't think yourself as a failure or anything, so long as you don't go back to rolling weekly, maintain a healthy lifestyle with good food and exercise, your anxiety problems should eventually start to clear up (not accounting for external IRL factors), but biologically you'd be on the right path.

Good luck mate wishing you all the best.

^ dis, and try to avoid stimulants and weed (if it gives you anxiety). opiates/benzos/alcohol/gaba agonists are fine basically everything that mellows you out but don't rely on them to hide your anxiety because it will only make things worse.

I don't what happened, last post deleted.
But it has gotten a lot better, it's just there, dulled. Valium helps if need be for stressful situations and big days. Very Careful in controlling how much i use valium, don't want to rely on it.

mindfullness is to be in the moment, to be aware. for example when you have anxiety-thoughts, with mindfullness you're supposed to let them wash over you, you just observe them being aware that they are there but they don't affect because you're mindfull. ha I don't even know if I explained myself, you'd better google it you'll plenty of web sites
it's tied to meditation anyway

Once a week for 8 months ; wow!
Your serotonin receptors are probably shot.
Benzos will help you through the months, just don't get addicted to those.

Stick to an SSRI if things are really bad. Will help with low serotonin lvls. Also look into exercising more.

Hi, I have only took it once and had severe anxiety, could just cry at any moment and bad depression. I was slightly depressed before but I was not as bad as after taking and I have never suffered anxiety. For me, it was extremely fun at the time but the downer that laster a month for me was bad to say the least.

Screw benzos! They are addictive and will only make the anxiety worse once they wear off. I'd recommend taking st john's wort.. It'll help with the depression and anxiety and it not's addictive. You can take it for months on a daily basis and quit from one day to another without any side effects!

Doesn't look like anyone mentioned 5-HTP here.
Funny, I actually first tried that in relation to its relation to rolling. Totally forgot, I've been using it for years for mood and with nitrous oxide and whatnot.

But yea. If your serotonins downregulated, 5-HTP will seriously help.

I have anxiety after a mdma bad trip. Lay off caffeine or any central nervous system stimulants, they make any anxiety kick 10x harder, and it can lead to panic attacks and etc, you know the drill sir

Things weren't going well for me at all, struck in a hole, dropped after 4months, I then proceeded to have the best and most comfortable 2 weeks I've had in a long time. Very weird. Anyone have thoughts on why this could be the case?

Yeah my man,
Kinda been through what you were describing after MDMA binges. Maybe not as severe but definitely feeling anxiety.

getting off everything and working out seemed to work for me.

No CNS depressants or stimulants is the way to go.

A little flirt & skirt always helps too.

Waking up early, going to work, etc.

Also: reading about people that got it worse than you helps you be thankful for what you do have.

Just surrounding yourself with positive things is the best.
