Post- antidepressant & Ecstasy

First of all, thought I would report back with my experience with taking ecstasy while being on an antidepressant. I am currently prescribed 60 mgs of Cymbalta, and I took a 30 mg pill early Wednesday morning. Thursday-Saturday (so a little longer than 3 days) I dealt with the brain zaps that come with stopping Cymbalta cold turkey. Saturday night at 10pm I dropped, it seems like it took forever for me to come up. But around midnight I really started to feel it, and then I took my second pill around 1am. I have never rolled so hard in my entire life! I had a blast!! So stopping Cymbalta for a couple days was a complete and safe success. I have a little bit of a hangover (feeling kinda nauseous, headache, jaw is sore...) but no depression or anxiety or anything. :D

Now I'm wondering when it should be safe to take my Cymbalta again. I've heard of serotonin syndrome and all that, so I don't want to take it too soon and run the risk of getting sick. Also, will it help with the hangover? I've heard of antidepressants being taken, even when not prescribed, to help with the hangover.

Ive only taken them on the comedown.. Not this far after. Whenever I come off of a hard roll or trip, or combination for that matter I always find it best to simply (or as simply as possible) to get back back in the flow of things. I.e. go back into my normal routine... So for you that may include going back to your routine anti depressants. Again, I always take them a bit on the comedown (unprescribed) not this long after. From what you say about you hanyanja anxiety or depression and there is barely any hangover with a cute little emoticon I'd say fuck the antis, seems like you are doing OK for now. :)

So in conclusion i realize I may have told you that you could pick from either 2 of the 2 options.. So pretty useless. To answer your question directly: I think it would be safe either way
 
Okay cool, I read somewhere that I should take a couple days to take my prescription again but I thought that was weird... I didn't want to go through the brain zaps and all that for any longer. So I took it! Thanks for your input senortrippington. :)

And no we didn't test our pills but it wasn't the antidepressants that elongated the come up, cuz I wasn't the only one. I thought it was pretty strange too, we thought we were gonna be floored all night cuz usually we would have been enjoying after about 45 mins or so. But yes ultimately it took about two hours... We're thinking it might have been because we were anxious to hear a certain DJ, and once he finally went on is when we started going completely insane. Most intense roll I've ever experienced!
