Hey Guys!!
I haven't been on this board for quite a long time.. The last time I was really active on bluelight was in the midst of an OC addiction & withdrawal. I managed to beat the habit, but almost 5 years after the event, I find myself in a new hole I dug.
I'm now out of college (since the last time I was truly active on this board), off of Suboxone and finally completed law school, working as an attorney full time. My new problem is and was, benzodiazepines. About a year ago, I decided to go on Valium due to a lot of stress in my career, life and PAWS from Suboxone. Believing that I had finally overcome chemical dependence, I fell right back in the hole. I ended up getting off of 30 mg by tapering gradually 5 mg per 2 weeks. Long story short, I've been off for 3 months but all these strange symptoms will simply not subside. Feelings of brainfog, depersonalization, headaches, frustration and anxiety appear rather infrequently, but I didn't expect the level of the post-acute withdrawals to still pack the punch they do today.
I'm really asking for someone who's been in and out of the hole.... How long does it take for the array of symptoms to subside (THOSE horrible ones, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). Is there anything I can do to ease the sickness, nausea and anxiety I'm feeling? How long did it take to truly get over it? I'm eternally grateful for anyone who has experience on such a matter..
