Post a song from your favorite Bob Dylan album

man the "times are-a-changing" still gets me good everytime

simple yes, but man oh so effective

I love Bob Dylan(for his song writing, no so much performing), even though I have never really heard him play any of my favorite songs that he wrote.....Jerry Garcia covered a bunch of his songs in Legion of Mary and Jerry Garcia Band, my favorites are:

Tough Mama
It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry
Positively 4th Street
Tangled Up In Blue
Knockin' On Heavens Door

I love the jerrys spruced up guitar work in his version. Though it took me a while to figure out

ive been listening to new morning lately (which is so-so), so ill say "went to see the gypsy". its not my favorite but i really cant pick a favorite. john wesley harding might be my favorite album, at least the first half. it kind of drags on a bit after the ballad of frankie lee and judas priest imo

^yeah, the lyrics leave a little to be desired, but it's such a wonderfully translated and expressed song. i really wouldn't dare question his substantial catalogue of poetic and lyrical prowess, though.

:)

Ain't Talkin from Modern Times is my favorite from his newer albums. It's reminiscent of his older songs, and is lyrically profound:

They will crush you with wealth and power
Every waking moment you could crack
I'll make the most of one last extra hour
I'll avenge my father's death then I'll step back

Ain't talkin', just walkin'
Hand me down my walkin' cane
Heart burnin', still yearnin'
Got to get you out of my miserable brain

All my loyal and much-loved companions
They approve of me and share my code
I practice a faith that's been long abandoned
Ain't no altars on this long and lonesome road...

"Shelter from the Storm" - Blood on the Tracks because it's nearly a perfect album.

Agreed on the perfect album note.

But for me it's got to be "If You Her Say Hello."

Probably the most painful thing I've ever heard.

She might think that I’ve forgotten her, don’t tell her it isn’t so.
