I have a Tibetan Mastiff called RJ. Here he is at 2 months, and then just last week at 2 years old:

He weighs just over 10 stone right now, and will probably grow for up to 3 years. Going by the size of his parents he'll probably weigh somewhere between 13-14 stone.

4 - 5 years on he looks pretty much exactly the same although hes gained a few pounds, no matter how we try slim him down.

Yeah, they don't get as tall as some of the other giant breeds, but they get heavier than just about everything apart from St Bernards. This dog here is a good example:

I fucking love them, and they are the longest living big dog, but you have to be careful where you get them from, as a lot of them are closely related to the breeds still living in the Himalayas, which are used as guard dogs against predators like leopards and bears and can be fucking vicious if they think they have a reason. They are cute, but when something the size of a small furry Lion gets aggresive it's pretty scary.

thanks, PT. he finally stopped doing that about 4 months ago when he got "taller". he loves tracking stuff, though. i can't wait until i'm done showing him so i can do field competitions with him. :D
